Kenneth Davis no, he definitely deserves the blame and needs to go. He’s blown 2 3-1 leads with the clips (inexcusable), multiple game 7s at home, and is constantly outcoached. And Kawhi is a free agent after next season, so they better win. Won’t happen with Doc.

Acho 100% right. - 1 ring with that Celtics team isn’t an accomplishment, it’s underachieving. - Clippers had talented teams under Doc and haven’t accomplished anything... he has more first round losses than conference finals.... since you know... he never made a conference final - most 3-1 leads blown by a coach in NBA history... - 7 years and nowhere near a title... how many more seasons will it take to realize that Doc is just not THAT great of a coach.

I think that is exactly the reason why neither Mark Jackson or Van Gundy gave ANY CRITICISM about Kawhi and PG’s terrible 2nd half (4th quarter specifically) during the broadcast. They were thinking about being considered for the job. 😂

A valid consideration. However, in light of the weird elements of pandemic altered season, Doc should be granted a pass. Actually, I feel that all head coaches should have been afforded that pass, in principle. Next season, with normality restored or re-configured, no excuses.

i normally agree with marcellus but he is SO WRONG right now. you cannot compare what steven’s did to what doc just did. steven’s was a relatively new hire in 2018, and they OVERACHIEVED, by making it to the eastern conference finals w/o kyrie or gordon hayward, oh and btw they took lebron 7 games with a rookie leading the squad (tatum) this season, doc, who has been there for a considerable amount of time, took a team full of vets, athletes, and PAUL GEORGE AND KAWHI, and blew a 3-1 lead with 2 games with 20+ point leads. you have to go. he didn’t even give a pump up speech. he didn’t even TRY TO MOTIVATE HIS TEAM. he is so overrated he has to go.

You're right they're built to Win. I mean it was all that Doc Rivers could do to prevail on the team not to Opt Out Of The Bubble. That's not wasted on me. As a group they didnt even want to be there in the first place. I heard this about the Lakers for a day or 2, but they had Lebron..."Come on Fellas let's get this Done." Rivers is just the coach...but there's no player there that all of the others are all Bought In On as being the Alpha. Kawhi shows up and does His Thing, more often than not, but very Quietly. And You can't Lead from the Back. Remember George Patton? He was in the Thick of It battle after battle...died in a freak car accident. Patton Lead!!

I knew he would be an issue when he chose to put Reggie Jackson on Luka when Luka drop that game winner in the 1st round...then when he said they weren’t emotional enough when it’s the coaches job to galvanize the team 🤔 but it’ll be interesting to see who they replace him with. He needs to go but won't. Balmer and Franks love him. They will move on from Harrell, Morris and a few others. Run it back with 75% of same team and then a massive summer of change the year after as Kawhi and George's contracts are up. As a clips fan I was on the moon when we got both these guys but in hindsight the mountain of picks and players we gave up for George is gonna haunt us for years to come if we don't get to finals or win it next year

Let's be real Doc isn't a great coach in the playoffs. He seems to be care free and unable to adjust to different situations. You can not lose 3 pivotal games in a row in which you dominated for 3 quarters. He's had enough chances to win multiple titles but has failed with the most elite superstars in the game
