Kawhi would rather have the 5 or 6 days consecutive rest than have to grind out one or two extra games. If we've learned anything about him in the last 5 years, it is that the man likes to get his rest in. Phoenix has an amazing team but the Clippers actually matchup pretty decently with them. Clips are an old team that are horrible at rim protection because besides Kawhi and Mann, nobody can keep a guy in front of them so the pressure is all on Zu to not get in foul trouble. Phoenix is at the bottom of the league at shots at the rim, they are elite everywhere else of course. Clips are too old to deal with Sac and Memphis rn, ESPECIALLY without PG. There was no easy answer for them, but at least here they sorta “matchup” well with Phoenix.

I definitely don't think its a foregone conclusion that the Suns are going to win their series against the Clippers. one injury on either side could sway the series. even if everyone stays healthy, PG13 comes back soon and Kawhi is still that dude when on the court

I expect the Suns to win but by no means is it a foregone conclusion. CP3 and Booker are serial chokers, and everyone forgot KD before GSW was as well. GSW carried him and shook that label, but there's a reason why he joined them in the first place, because he choked a series to them. KD has done just about nothing outside of GSW in terms of playoff success.

Cause Suns will have Okogie or Craig defending Kawhi - and they can do a decent job, but who's gonna stop Russ? CP3? Booker? And the Clippers deep roster can handle Bookers numbers. Suns aren’t great defensively. It’s going to be a good match up.
