6 million time signatures, what a pig. Played using Meinl Cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and recorded with a Yamaha EAD10. Website: joethorleydrums.co.uk/ Instagram: josephthorley93 Thanks for watching!
I'm no drum/rhythm expert in the slightest, but I think the song splits up each timing change fairly evenly throughout, so after a few listens, you can start recognizing when the changes come, and figuring out the beat for each one. After that it's just memorizing the rhythm that comes next, which is hard enough for me 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Recently, while going on walks, I've taken to tapping out the rhythm for this song on my leg. I'm not a drummer by any means but that really gave me a sense of how hard this must be EDIT: Well, that and watching _Whiplash_ last night
Hey man, not sure if this is right but this is the way that I would think about it if I had to notate it. So the last bar before the triplets would be counted as 1 2 3 4triplet - in 4/4. Then if you increase the tempo by x1.5, the eighth notes would now be same speed as your triplet eighth notes. Then run through your time signatures at the new tempo - 3,4,5,6,7 & 8 For example triplet eighths at 80 bpm would be the same speed as eighth notes at 120bpm Hope that makes sense man
