Hi Brooks, You have a very beautiful collection! You have a similar taste of clocks as I do! My favorite types are French chime clocks with all sorts of melodies. I am researching ODO and Vedette clocks, and if you are interested in talking about these beautiful clocks, let me know! There are so many various French chime clocks and I get very excited to see new ones. -Calvin
An excellent update! The new Celebrate and the (mostly) Junghans clocks sound quite lovely... But I'm definitely a huge fan of the Girod. That second tune is quite charming. My wife and I just had our honeymoon trip to Europe, and we visited quite a few thrift shops throughout our travels. My favorite was one in Basel Switzerland... It had an entire wall of Westminster chiming wall clocks. Seriously would have been happy to take all of them home, but there was a Girod there that I definitely would have loved to buy. Sadly we couldn't possibly travel home with it... Although I did manage to get one small but mighty clock from our time in the UK that I will be posting later today.
Amazing!!! Im so glad that your honeymoon was successfull, that you had a good time and that you even got to bring something back from it. Always great to hear from you
Your clock collection is fantastic and gigantic! Congrats for all of the hard work you’ve done! while i only have 2 clocks 1. German made Kienzle Westminster chime mantle clock (not the American made one like you have) 2. Perivale Westminster chime mantle clock made in England and the HAC westminster chime mantle clock in the end is my favourite of yours, it has gorgeous chime rods, and should be next to your HAC trinity as well.
Your collection has grown a lot! I really like those two-train Westminster chiming clocks, and that Girod box clock is also very cool :) I also recently got a black forest clock with Surrerwerk, but it needs some attention.
