When I was younger and would sleep at my nans (like I did most the time) there was always a wall clock that soothed me to sleep. When she ended up in hospital and we were told to say our goodbyes I started listening to this to stop myself from crying and to bring myself comfort that she was always going to be there. She is healthier now and just got out of hospital. I will continue to listen but Honesly this stupid video of a clock ticking means more to me than it should. Thank you for making this video
I hope your nan is alright… but that’s also why I’m here! Sleeping over at my nana’s, there was always a ticking clock. I could here nothing but the clock or the odd owl or something. Isn’t that funny hehe!
This is one of the scariest but weirdly soothing sounds to me. It reminds me of the inescapable truth that time will march onwards until the moment we unexpectedly die, regardless of whether we are ready
I completely agree. When days feel so fast and hectic and I feel like I have no time, I just want time to slow down. Each second when the clock ticks it slows that down a bit and reminds me that I don't need to rush everything. I can relax.
Great for studying - helps me write practise papers/quiz questions more quickly! I find the sound of time passing makes me work faster; in the absence of regulated noise I tend to write reeaally slowly. So thanks so much for this video!
Exactly! listening to time ticking while you realize your perception of time changes helps you to put your perception of time passing right back on track! Its even better if there's a timer! However its disappointing most of these videos have milliseconds of imperfection in them, causing often a whole extra minute, regardless its not a problem, its still helpful.
Actually this rythmic sound is used to get good sleep.according to studies when you brain starts hearing sound in a pattern you would probably feel sleepy
These sounds- ticking, pen-clicking, white noise, classical music... It feeds my ADD, and my brain tunes into these satisfying cacophonies. The problem is, I am so obsessed with these noises, I lose focus of what I'm doing to listen and savor them.
It was a calm 2012 night over my cousin's apartment. (Being only 7 at the time) my mom, sister, and myself were all going to bed but since my cousin's didn't have any bed or mattress for use to sleep one day we just placed the couches together. Sure it was tight but it was the effort that counts. We all fell asleep and onto the next day right? I woke up in the middle of the night due to me feeling squished. Then I heard the clock ticking which sounded like this exact one, after that I just stared in the dark and looked through the window and realized how peaceful it all was thinking about all the things I did at the time period. The train passing, airplanes flying, and my family sleeping like never before. I'm glad that the ticking sound from the clock was there at my cousin's house, it gave me a moment to think about how everything would change the following years (13 years later) I'm able to dream as if I'm at that moment rn
I remember when I was about 11 or 12 years old at my aunties. She had a mantel clock and when the adults were talking and I was bored, I loved to filter their voices out and concentrate on the tick tock of the clock and enjoy the chimes.
dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my brother these days =)
This one reminds me of the old clock at my grandma's house, she passed away years ago and i suddenly wanted to listen to the tiktok sound from a clock, maybe because im far away from hometown or other explanations
Really? Seriously? This is the most annoying sound to me. I had a quote similar to this as a teen and I couldn't stand it. It kept me awake with it's obnoxious ticking. I even took it out of my room, into the living room, buried it under the couch cushions, went back to my room, shut the door and I could still hear it. It was maddening.
Good job buddy! You are on the right path uploading this. We need more meditation music as our body fights for homeostasis! We want to relax while our body and mind while they work there magic with positive energy and consuming good energy fuel.
Worth noting that the ikea clock on the photo is unable to make that sound. It quietly rattles instead, a bit like a mechanical one, actually. Guess it has something to do with the lack of the second-counting hand and maybe its ability to physically ring the bells
