Oh I can remember several Drain Addict videos where he pulls out root-specimens of several feet! Usually in stormwater pipes though, but not only. Too bad you'd have to watch through over 770 videos to find them 🤣

That is a large basement under that house. In the Netherlands, IF your house has a basement, it is in many cases small, maybe 2 x 3 metre, standing high 1.8 metre.

Easy to go on , easy to come off, and most of the time it sits in a small pit that you have no clearance to turn a pipe wrench ect.

Someone has a tree growing in their sewer pipeline. :P NYD would you say that ranks as one of the most pain in the ass caps to remove? XD Also how much is it to replace one of those caps? I feel like that can be a do it yourself type of job too. :) Oh and I assume once you remove that cap that goes to the sewer that smell must hit like a ton of bricks. :O

so she has roots infiltrating from a hole broken pipe somehwere going to main street sewer line right? so this will keep happening every few years until the pipe is replaced or after it totally fails and collapses underground ?

The sewer trap underground is shaped like a U. They put the plugs on both sides so it's easier to clean out the trap and allow access to clean both the inlet and outlet pipes of the trap with the snake machine.

A plumber without a replacement cap? Nice quick and dirty work. Don't have the proper tool? Grab a chisel and hammer. Leave the damage for the homeowner. It's a shitty job.. pun intended..
