Once again I am so thankful that there are NO house traps anywhere near my area. I wonder who in the world ever thought it was a good idea to put a trap like that in? I has never seen anything of the sort until I started to watch your videos. Remarkable. Not real smart, but remarkable. Good for you for knowing how to deal with that mess!

@@CharlesReiche Agree! I cannot even imagine having that under my living room floor covered by a chap trap door. We have cleanouts in the concrete floor or wall of the basement if there is one, or outside in the yard if no basement. No whole house traps!

Do you hose down the outside of the drains after it? Always wonder if you just leave it like that or wash it down. I’d imagine if left it would smell? Or do you leave this to the householder? Either way love your work, find it therapeutic and satisfying. Keep up the good work. Freddie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yes usually, me or the homeowner will tackle it, but not in some cases because it would wash dirt and sand back into the trap causing another problem.

I noticed now that some manufacturers have stopped calling them “flushable” and are now calling them “compostable”. Not sure if that will change people’s behavior with them; but the Lawyers’ are probably hoping that it will let them escape some liability from the damage and expense associated with their use.

i find it funny when a lot of drain professionals use the corn and/or ratty reference. of course, many of of know who the reference goes to lol :). i think you are at least the 5th person i know that says that lol. one guy uses a fish instead of a rat also referencing the same person and that guy is from the uk. another american, same thing. and another guy in australia (other than ollie). man he's popular lol oh and good god, that had to have been 20 pounds worth of wipes.

Wipes ARE flushable but so is a golf ball or Hot Wheels. Biodegradable is a whole different animal.

Wow ok. Im about to say something dumb but hopefully you get the point. That's alot of whips and looking at it at the end. I cant believe all that was in that small pipe lol. But clearly it was. Wow wow and wow! Lol. I kid you not. Every time I let a woman live with me. I have issues with plumbing. Whenever I kick them out rarely if ever have issues. I've come to the conclusion. Unless it's my kids. No woman will ever live with me again LMAO. They cost too much. 😭😂😭😂😭😂. All jokes aside though 😆. Damn that was alot of whips. Saying those wipes are "flushable" is a half-truth. They are "flushable" in the sense that they can be flushed down the toilet, but it does not mean that they break down in water.
