It's worse this time than it was 15 years ago. The Clone Wars humanized the clones, and it hit way harder than last time, when people still thought of clones as little more than droids.

Worst thing about this episode: seeing the credits

Easter Egg: In the scene where she gets the hologram of Rex she gives Anakin's code of 8108 which a reference to the original Clone wars movie release date (August 10, 2008) where Ahsoka is introduced to Anakin

The last four episodes were just... a masterpiece, Like a stand alone film.

Did anyone else feel like their heart was going to jump out of their chest cause you know what was coming

“What I remember about the rise of the Empire is ... is how quiet it was” the entire episode felt like that quote from the 501st journal. You could feel the gravity of what’s happening and everything was being sucked into it like a black hole.

Windu disrespecting Ahsoka like that changed my perception on his death.

Why the HELL aren’t the guys who are directing this directing the live action movies?!

I’m curious, what the “defected clones” the bad batch, did they have the chips to?

The part where she "cuts a hole in the roof" to escape was actually her redirecting the blaster fire from the clones up into it, as seen by the abundant blaster holes surrounding the main hole she goes through

I find it very ironic how the clones hunting Ahsoka are wearing armor that are supposed to show how much they respect her.

The hardest part was seeing the clones of the 501st with the “Ashoka paint” trying to gun her down. From ultimate respect to the ultimate betrayal. And she keeping it together, saving her own life, and fixing Rex.

Literally cried out, “no!” when the credits started rolling. They spoiled us with those longer episodes.

When Rex shot at Ashoka and Anakins dark deeds started playing, that was heart wrenching for me

When the og Revenge of The Sith audio played, I had ptsd flashbacks of when I first watched the movie.

To be fair to Mace, she did make a point of being a civilian

There was some gore when maul was taking limbs off like crazy

I hope in the next episode we see a corrupted Anakin.

I literally had chills the whole episode

Theory: Ashoka said ‘not yet’ showing she was willing to rejoin the order, because since she believed the war was ending, they wouldn’t have to be soldiers anymore and this is what she wanted to say to Anakin in person but never got the chance to😭

Three words to describe this episode: 1. Sad 2. Depressing 3. Tearjerker

The very moment Anakins Dark Deeds turned on, I lost it.

Star Wars Theory I don’t know if you noticed this, but a small Easter egg was that the Council left the call with Ahsoka in the order each was killed

I loved the scene where Rex is "fighting" to resist Order 66. The shaking of his helmet, the tears in his eyes, telling Ahsoka to research into 5's and his story. Really emotional and well done scenes.

This episode was so insane that I was actually hoping to see Ahsoka and Rex somehow break the clones from the control of their chips and stop order 66 without remembering what happens anyway. The whole journey from Mandalore's surface to the venator bridge and until the transmission was so tense. It's been near 12 years from this shows debut and I'm never going to get over the fact that it's nearly done. The last scene when Rex tells Ahsoka that every single clone in the entire grand army of the Republic has been compromised by these chips basically since "birth??" Was also really emotional. Seeing the end of one of my favorite eras and knowing that the good guys don't win in this one is still hard for me to take

I just realized , after next episode we’re never getting to see clones ever again

I almost cried when Rex almost executes order 66. Seeing the tears in his eyes and him literally breaking down, and his subconscious trying to tell ahsoka about fives.

If Darth Maul had freed himself, then what would be the point of the Mandalorian Jedi Jail thing

“You’re a Sith Lord!” “I am,” Palpatine said simply. “I am also your friend.” The blue bar of energy wavered, just a bit.

Seeing Ashoka almost die, when she was in the med bay with Rex. You could see how, after one of her lightsabers was shot out of her hand, she was struggling to deflect the blasts. I knew she would live, but I was still nervous.

I loved how after Rex replied with "Yes Lord Sidious" palps stops for a second as if to acknowledge that the fact that Rex had figured out his identify meant the jedi were only hours away from figuring out who he was. Absolutely beautiful moment in my opinion

Man that scene where Rex is just standing there shaking with his helmet had me dying. This was the best episode by far. That scene alone made you feel everything that he was going through and what was about to happen. Amazing

Maybe the next story should be Stars Wars: The Dark Times

Seeing Rex tear up before he shot Ashoka really got me in the feels

Did Mace Windu actually die? I remember George Lucas saying something like “he can be alive, I dont care”, in an interview

Anyone else get chills when Rhexx told her to find Fives.

Imagine seeing this episode without Rebels existing. We wouldn't know if ahsoka survived!!!

Also notice how before Rex draws his blasters he says to the clones “wait, Ill do it” At first you think, oh maybe Order 66 didn’t effect him and his stalling for Ashoka to get away. Then you realize no he’s not faking it and even worse he’s succumbing to his inhibitor chip. A truly great scene

So what really got me was two things: How the order was executed as you see literally a minute beforehand is a normal deep conversation between Rex and Ahsoka before the order is given and then the Jedi are to the Clones; another hated enemy such as Separatist Droids and were gunned down as such. This ties into how brutal Order 66 was with how effectively the chips switched their minds to forget such a powerful strong bond such as Cody and Obi-wan, Bly and Aayla, Jag and Plo Koon, and the list goes on. Second was not as significant but was really deep: The death of Ridge. We all see Ahsoka introduced to us when she was 14 in the 2008 film and shortly afterwards her second mission is the Battle of Teth. Teth is where we first see more individuality in the 501st and we're introduced to Ridge. As an 8 year old I remember seeing Ridge in the film and the line he spoke was very memorable to me when he had static over his comlink. Torrent Company was virutally wiped out, but Ridge, Rex and a few others survived. This means to me personally that Ridge was one of the clones that was seen with Rex, Anakin, and Ahsoka all the way from the film to this last episode growing with not only the characters but attached to us as the unnamed trooper who survived the challenges. Finally we see him fighting off Maul ravaging the ship and he is impaled by a wall with another trooper where we hear the Clones shout out "Ridge is down!" After hearing that, my heart broke as my mind flashed to when I was 8 watching the film in theaters to him being told he had static over his comlink but more joy he survived the entire duration of the Clone Wars at their side then it sunk further when reality hit of he was just killed.

The quote from battlefront 2005 that perfectly describes how everyone was when they were starting the episode, “What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was.”

Imagine if the sequels were about an older ashoka, searching for her old masters son. imagine if shes the one who did everything Rey did.

The extra touch of her knowing many clones exactly by name in the previous few episodes made this hit even more

Awesome Video!!! This Arc Is An Absolute Masterpiece. To See Ahsoka And Rex Experience Order 66 Was Heartbreaking! The Way it ties into Revenge Of The Sith and Brings Everything Together Is Just Brilliant!!! Also The Animation is Absolutely Phenomenal! This Arc Was Just Incredible And It Was Truly The Most Perfect Ending I Could've Ever Imagined For My Favorite Show Of All Time!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! This episode will go down in history as part of Star Wars’ best. Order 66. Maul. Ahsoka & Rex. Revenge of the Sith callbacks. It was phenomenal. Nothing can top this.

The hardest thing for me is seeing this clone wars anakin turn to evil. I feel like there are two different Anakins in Star Wars, the movie one and the clone wars one. Anakin turning to the dark side in the prequels was not as hard for me as it is now. In the prequels you could tell he was always troubled. In the clone wars you could not have seen that anakin turn evil.

They used Hayden's dialogue for the scene when Ashoka senses Anakin's turn to the dark side. But some of it sounds like Matt lanter when Anakin says "what have i done". Bruh when i heard that i was shaking. That was most definitely the most powerful scene for me.

when ahsoka was deflecting the blaster bolts right before she escaped through the roof, all i was thinking was how she is sooooo much better than ki adi mundi. its insulting to say that she was only slightly more successful. SHE WAS BADASS

I am 100% sure most of us would be willing to watch Revenge of the Sith in the Clone Wars animation

Another detail Feloni put in the episode that you may have missed is when Rex responds to Palpatine with “yes lord Sidious”. No other clone says this, instead something along the lines of “yes my lord”. Rex was the only one who momentarily figured out Sidious’ identity (based on what he learned in the last few episodes) before succumbing to Order 66 and Palpatine even paused for a moment before disconnecting because he was surprised.

I think something that is really awesome, that nobody talks about, is how on the venator, while Ahsoka is talking to Rex, Maul just reaches out and touches her with the force for no real reason. That shit is eerie and awesome.

when i waited until 3 am EST on that friday night for this episode and saw it for the first time, when rex was resisting the order and he was in TEARS that made me cry for a good while even after the episode was over. i had grown up with rex and always saw him as this badass soldier and an amazing person. i admired how courageous and brilliant he was when i was growing up. thats why it makes me so sad to see this person i always thought was so strong, in literal tears because he knew he wasnt strong enough to resist for any longer

The first ten minutes of this episode was some of the best Star Wars stuff ever put to screen. The anxious build-up with the music keeping you on edge was incredible. The show knew that you knew Order 66 was coming

When I hear Anakin saying this is not the Jedi way to the Mace Windu, sent chills through my spine.

Watching these Breakdowns gives me the feels again and honestly, when Rex shedded that tear, I started crying 😭 it was such a heartfelt moment and knowing what Ashoka and Rex been through, From the blue virus, Battle of geonosis, “How to catch a Jedi” episode, and their unique friendship, you could see how hurt and how determined he was to not kill his BeatFriend, partner in “Justice”, and when he said to “find fives” shows he was aware of what was going on and that was even more chilling. This scene was hard for me to watch 😭.

I love how they made grievous look better, but we won’t get to see him in action. Lol

The way Anakin was in The Clone Wars made it as if he was too prideful to be persuaded to the dark side. It’s just crazy that he was different with how he interacted with Ahsoka to how he was when he was by himself.

And...something I feel is quite overlooked is that when they were showing Maul being transported to the ship, the ost playing was a rendition of the theme which plays when Anakin is in the council's chambers, which makes sense as just a short while later we hear the whole scene with palps and mace... Awesome detail right there
