Yep, once p2 was given out the arc troopers got the new helmets with little changed details like a smaller fin on the helmet that doesn’t point out. I like the phase 1 arc more than phase 2 tbh.

Arc troopers got prototype phase 2 helmets during the time that normal clones had phase 1, which is why the arc helmet is sort of a mix of phase 1 and 2. The arce troopers had regular phase 2 helmets after the clones transitioned to phase 2

Crazy how sideshow clones were 160 USD and below back in the day , and yes the arcs were around that price aswell . ARCS now a days are by far the most valuable sideshow clones next to rex reaching 1k

Great review as always! The helmet is half way between phase 1 and 2 because they wanted to make a gradual transistion to phase 2 when making the Clone Wars.

They are indeed phase 1.5- prototypes for phase 2. Thought during the Umbara arc of season 4, it was phased out and replaced with standard phase 2 gear- without the spiked fin and the pointy respirator on the helemet. This makes this figure a phase 1 era trooper, where as Fives in the Umbara arc is the proper phase 2 era armor.

The ARC Troopers are special forces so they got the phase II armour early which is why they were wearing it while the regular clones had the phase I gear.

the helmet is a prototype helmet only given to arc troopers often called phase 1.5. they eventually adopted proper phase 2 when the rest of the army upgraded.

I think this is phase 1, but fives uses this helmet during phase 1 and 2. However, in the last season, one 501st arc trooper uses a different helmet (no names, no spoilers)

The iron sights on the DC-15s are not supposed to be tilted to the side like that. I believe it’s a production error. The gauntlet is either a madalorian grappling wire or whistling birds

The fin on top that makes him look phase 1 is just a part of arc trooper helmets even though it’s a phase 2 helmet. Arc troopers have more tech in their helmets which is why it’s there

To answer your question on whether this is phase one or phase two. Arcs were used as a test bench for the phase two armour after getting complaints from troops that phase one was very uncomfortable and clunky. Phase two was a more refined and comfortable armour. Arcs did use phase one but only for a short time

The arc troopers had 3 types of armor: the standard phase one look, still with all of the accessories---The type of armor that he is wearing in this video which was labeled 1.5, it is a mash up of phase one and two (they had this for most of the war)---The arc armor eventually became standard phase two armor, with the standard arc trooper accessories

The reason for the phase 1 vs phase 2 comparison is because the ARC troopers were the first two use the "phase 2" helmet while it was still in its prototype phase...That is why when all the rank and file clones were in phase 1, the more advanced and skilled ARCs were testing and using the prototype phase 2

When Fives became an ARC we never got to see him when he would’ve gotten phase 1 ARC armor, now for the reason the ARCs before him had that helmet is because they were given experimental helmets that we only for them until the other clones transitioned to phase 2 armor

That’s a Phase 2 ARC Helmet, theirs is upgraded with the benefits of both versions, as the normal phase 2 helmets lost certain elements to aid in ergonomics. It’s the best of both worlds, similar to what Rex tried to do with his.

In fact, the helmet is a phase 2 prototype that equip the ARC troopers. That's why, in the end of the show, Fives have a real phase 2 helmet.

The helmet design, for your information is called experimental phase 1.5 which ARC troopers had before moving to phase 2, which has no fin or that chin part at all.

I’m pretty sure it’s phase 1.5. The arc troopers were given concept phase 2 helmets to test them out. The phase 2 fives doesn’t have the fin on the top of the helmet. This fives design was only seen in the s3 citadel arc. His phase 2 appearance takes over in s4 with the umbara arc and in s6 with the order 66 chips arc.

arc trooper helmets were technically 1.5 but after the issue of phase 2 arc troopers were also issued phase 2 helmets.. so yeah its phase 1. You can tell by the point and the fin on the head.

I've assumed it was some sort of stun weapon like the one Captain Fordo uses on Durge in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars series. For whatever reason Sideshow went with a more Mando-gauntlet look when making it look more realistic.

No it is not. The flame thrower is on the side of the forearm. This where the whistling bird are throwed in the mandalorian. We never see the part in action in TCW or in the OT with Boba Fett or I didn't remember it.

Well, during Phase 1 of the clone armor, ARC troopers were given experimental Phase 2 armor.

In the clone wars show they decided that the arc troopers never had normal phase 1 helmets, they had the prototype for the phase 2 helmet, so yeah, that's still phase 1
