The Orcas were probably thinking "look there's a Killer Human in a tiny banana".

I'm still amazed that, given that they can attack any other creature in the sea, they do not attack us.

Not enough fat and nutrients, we're literally not worth the effort... as long as we don't bother them that is. Still wouldn't go near em though.

If we take away most of their other food options, then humans certainly will be on the menu soon.

So it IS Prehistoric Park music! I thought maybe I was imagining things, I played this video over and over trying to figure out whether it was or not.

How about “close encounter with orcas” . We need to get rid of the term “killer whales.” Why the statement “that’s what makes them deadly” ? Deadly to what? The food it eats? That’s what makes any predator deadly. Why do we always offer up this dynamic when we talk about these dolphins? You did do a good job overall here though. Thanks
@chamorugirl70
@chamorugirl70 5 лет назад
I agree, the term "killer whale" needs to be changed it was dubbed a couple hundred years ago because seamen witnessed them killing another whale so they dubbed them killer whales...so misleading

Once watched one playing in the bow wave of my father's trawler, I watched for about half an hour before having to get back to work. I don't know how long it stayed after but it was already there when I took a break and went to watch the dolphins that had been regularly playing in the wave and was surprised to find an orca instead.

I’m gonna guess we don’t taste good, bc they kill whales and sharks, so one of us would be like grabbing a chip out of a bag.

The title really irks me. Casting orcas as horrible monsters does them no good. The same goes for sharks.

This is what SeaWorld should've done before. Research their habitat, investigating, and interviewing with environmentalists so SeaWorld can build a ORCA Habitat for a future "Orca Orphanage". What do you say?

The video was amazing until his last statement about them being killers. Yes they are at the top of the food chain in the ocean/sea, but they are NOT dangerous to humans! There has NEVER been an attack on a human in the wild! EVER!

If we would show a group how to get someone in a kajak out of his kajak and eat it with some robotic version of an orca, then that group would become kajak hunters. As long as we don't, there is no way in knowing when they would find out by themselves that we could be their food.
