A number of years ago my son and I shared an apartment about a quarter of a mile from where I live now. The apartment complex has five buildings surrounding a parking lot. One spring I was standing in the shadow of our building, enjoying a cool evening after a rainstorm. I noticed something bright, a few inches bigger than my hand, flying around a hooded light in the restaurant parking lot to my left. I watched the anomaly flying about with a flock of moths, in a playful manner. As I watched I noticed something strange. Whenever the moths flew above the light's hood they disappeared from view for several seconds. When this creature flew above the light's hood it was still visible, because it glowed an almost neon yellow-green. I started inching closer, a bit at a time; trying to get a better look at the thing. Suddenly, the creature stopped flying and hovered in mid-air, as though it noticed my presence. Then, in a flash it flew off toward the northwest, leaving a bright streak of light behind it. I have no idea what the creature was, but it was one of the strangest, most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life.

Two whomever experienced the second story, I have never heard of pebbles being used to scare away curious travellers, but Norwegian trolls are known to throw boulders at churches in the folklore from that area. Perhaps a smaller scale version of the same phenomenon?

As regards the pebble/bush story, I had something similar happen. I am very spiritual and psychic, and many odd, magical things have happened to me...including sensing fairies in certain magical wild places and even seeing and conversing with a Dryad once. I have also had many telepathic communications with trees, stones., house plants and animals. So... while this pebble-sound might be magical...it might also be something more mundane, like mine was: I awoke at dawn one frosty morning in late autumn/early winter, and was standing at my open door. Slowly an odd sound began to occur...like a popping or cracking sound that increased in volume as I stood there. I called the police in my small town and an officer came over and listened. He heard it too and looked a bit frightened. He couldn't explain it and left quickly. However, the sound faded away after a little while...and then stopped. I sent up a small prayer for explanation. And I heard, in my mind, that the sap in the trees' veins had frozen over night and now... as the sun was rising and heating the trees outer "skin" ... the "frozen pipe/veins" were thawing and bursting as the frozen sap in them was suddenly able to release the built-up, outward pressure of the freezing/expanding process. The sun had warmed the skin and softened and weakened it to allow the sudden bursting-outward action. The trees heal these ripped veins by covering them with a certain type of scar tissue. You can even detect these long vertical scars if you looks for them. Maybe they are like us and our varicose veins. Psychologically when we "cannot stand" some certain galling condition in our lives The veins in our legs swell and stand out. All physically "bad" conditions are symbolic of inner psychologically "bad" conditions, And we can heal the physical by healing the psychological. What have we been "standing for" that we should not? What are we afraid of losing if we don't continue to allow it. There's always something we can do...and safely...even though we are afraid of the consequences. The Universe sent our condition as a guid post to show us the way back into happy alignment with Truth. So if we tell ourselves our emotional truth (drag it up out of our subcnscious where we shoved it) It can lead us to a happier life. I find that the Universe always has my back if I can muster the courage to face these things And to make the needed changes ...for my own improved happiness. And I never lose anything I really needed. I just THOUGHT I needed it.

I've had 2 encounters with light beings but they could've been just 1 being in another form. I was a kid but I'll never forget about it. Maybe I'll send in my story one day. Boy did I used to embarrass my mother when I told complete strangers as a child though 😆.

Was I the only one half expecting for the stick creature to say "I'm Groot" 🤣. Jokes aside Groot and Tolkien's ents are based on folklore of trees that move on their own.

I did not imagine that sooner or later I would happen to see them for real, although it could always have been a hallucination. This morning I got up early before dawn because I could no longer fall asleep and in the garden in front of my house I saw a small red light staring into the grass, after a few seconds it vanished. There are no roads nearby and living in the countryside was certainly not a reflection. However, if these beings are really real and inhabit an invisible reality supersensitive to ours and they decide when and how to be seen by us human beings it would be wise when you go to the mountains or in the woods to walk to avoid going there alone, avoid taking paths that you do not know and above all avoid going there at night when it is dark, Because they could be hostile if we invade their territory unknowingly. And if they are able to influence our vision and mind, they can also make us lose our orientation and lose our way home.

Absolutely, believe in the fae and have some fae folklore stories myself. However, the 2nd one was definitely a squirrel throwing things. Squirrel will throw things at birds and people to scare them from there area especially if it's baby season time.

I'm a Gardener. Cleaning lawns for a living. Constantly killing snakes in more than one direction. People aren't always honest. Not being perfect myself. Dad was a carpenter long since passed. He had said. That he could feel the wood. Then dad was into Native American beliefs. But he used money only for pleasure. Sometimes I've helped customers cut down problem trees. Just I don't harvest trees. My customer had taken his tree to the mill to be cut into lumber. Happened to be faces in the grains of lumber. There was dad's face and also my uncle's face's. They were all carpenters.

I'm Cornish. Faries are well known in Celtic culture but I've never believed in anything spiritual, least of all faries. And yet, one night, Christmas eve, maybe Christmas morning and, they visited me. I would've just put it down to a hallucination, but, 2 years later, to the day, I awoke to see them again, for a few minutes, as I awoke that Christmas morning. They look like stereotypical faries. Tiny, pretty women in colourful clothes with wings like dragonflies, only, they are translucent, and I assume, not physical but more like spirits.

So I have to explain this. I would feel bad if I knew I could help and did not. It would bother me. Alot of these things are not physical in nature. They are electric and magnetic. So your brain doesn't really have a clue as to how to explain it to your conscious mind. So it fills in the blanks with things that might make sense to you. Maybe its a fairy or goblin or alien. Its just filling in the blanks. At the same time that electrical entity or phenomenon is still happening for real r ight in front of you. You are just interupting the information that makes sense to you. If you are scaed then you probably should be scared. If you are happy and feel safe then thats probably the best reaction. Just trust your gut and stop trying to label and define everything. I once had a friend who didn't see the same colors as I and everyone else did. His colors were different. Yellow was red and red was blue and blue was green. It was weird he was always asking me what color things were. Or he would say thats Blue... but you could tell it was more of a question. And your not broken. The peopel you are talking to just don't know how or want to, deal with you.

I had a scary encounter. But they didn't hurt me. I was pretty much dead when they found me. I think they understood I was sick. Poisoned by bad water. And injured. my leg was mangled from a fall mountain path was lost to a mudslide. But the huldra healed me and cured my sickness after I collapsed once I was of the mountain. I must be lucky

I didn't know what it was for many years!!!! I got told several different things!!!! But I heard a scream at 15yrs that scared me beyond belief and I saw 1bright light in the middle and afew more bright white orbs circling around it they were all the same size it looked like a freaking UFO!!!!!! Fast forward 10 to 12 years later and I'm playing a game on Xbox at my new boyfriend's house called Fable 2! And I heard and saw the white lights and heard the scream of a banshee!!!!!!!! It happened in the small maybe acre and a half of property in between my grandmother's house and the neighbors that lived behind us!!!!!! When I heard that scream I was staring out my bedroom window at the backyard and the property I mentioned above right in front of my altar right before I was about to do a protection spell!!!!!! I didn't get around to the spell, I immediately ran downstairs to my other family members that were in the house which was my grandmother and several of my cousins!!!! Nobody else in the house heard anything it freaked me out so bad I actually called 911!!!! I told them what I saw and I heard the cops never came!!!!! I will never forget that experience that sound was unbelievable the video game Fable 2 on Xbox360 only gets the point across it was truly horrible and deafening your drum exploding!!!!! Chills in ur bones dose not come close!!!!! I imagine if I was to die from Alzheimer's or something like that this would be probably one of the last things I would ever forget!!! It took me like a week to claim down and afew days to go back home to my grandmother's house!!! I wore the same clothes and crashed with friends for a few days!!!! I will never forget it!!! One of my Pagan friends suggested it was a willow wisp nobody ever said the word banshee Incubus or succubus was mentioned but!!!! I could never find out what a willow whisp exactly was supposed to be at that time and as far as the other two I don't even like to even type about them!!! But danm it was scary!!!!!
