I poured a cup of tea and sat at the table with my tabby cat and listened to the Scary Fairy Godmother and watched the sun drifting down behind the trees. The cat perked up, a small bird was sitting at the window. A wren. Normally the cat would jump to the window, but instead, we all just sat and listened. If it was indeed a wren.

I always love your stories and these helped me feel better. My sister passed away 3weeks ago. She loved coloring pictures of fairies and butterflies 💙

Glad to have seen this one--it confirms that what I saw on my vacation in Avebury, UK 2 years ago was legitimately fairies. I was staying in a B&B just a few minutes down the road from the standing stones. I had a window that overlooked the English countryside, and there was a gnarled tree right by the window. It was early March, so it was too early for bugs, and it was cold and windy out. 2 lights--one blue, one red--meandered through the tree outside the window for over an hour--maybe longer, I eventually fell asleep. I spent at least an hour trying to debunk what I was seeing, but no alternate explanations checked out--it wasn't a plane in the distance, wasn't the fire alarm light, definitely was not bugs. They were there for at least 3 nights when I went to bed, and on the third night, one of them turned and looked in the window--it had huge saucer-like flaming eyes. The next morning at breakfast, I met a couple from North Carolina, who were staying in the room next to mine. The woman asked me, "Did you see the fairies in the tree outside your window last night?" It was so strange, but definitely not out of line with what happens in Avebury.

I was hoping the druid girl who shared stories with you before would expand on her past stories. This didn't disappoint though

I just finished listening to an audible book by Dolores Cannon, who regression's help people to clear past life issues & other things. The book is "Between Death and Life: Conversations with a Spirit". In chapter five the woman who is in regression starts talking about faeries, elemental's, the little people ......they are real and on another dimension but at times make them selves apparent to us for different reasons. A good listen for anyone interested.

This is amazing!!! "Zauberwald" (pronounced Zow-ber-vold) is my story, this is so cool!!! I turned on this episode to listen to while I sculpted and heard the title and then mention of the Ren Faire in TN. Lol, for a moment, as my attention was split between my clay and the story, I got excited thinking one of my cast-mates had written in with one of their stories. Then I got even more excited when I realized that it's MY story!! 😆😁 So, this was at the now-defunct German themed Ren Fest called Drachenburg, buried in the hills of Bethpage. (And apparently there are other stories of odd happenings in Bethpage, TN from many many years ago. Interesting...) The Faire ran from 1999 - 2001 before it sadly closed down. Also, I didn't intend for the Pagan rituals part to sound so sinister... these are good people doing rituals to worship Deity and the earth/land, bring in prosperity and good health, etc... And to welcome in the new season or solstice. And, I'm sure there was some honoring of the local Fae involved, too! Nothing bad. Interestingly... a while later, after I had submitted my stories to the Faery Census site, I had asked about the blue Faery lights in another Faery group on Facebook and a small number of other people spoke up that they've actually seen these same trooping and floating lights, during the day, in their yards and nearby woods. No one seems to know what they are, but I find it fascinating. 😀 Anyway, really excited to hear my story read like this and the accompanying images helped in telling my story. Thank you Soo much!!!! I don't have a ton of Faery sightings, but one or two more...though nothing as solid and amazing as this experience that I shared with multiple other people. I may submit one of them soon... 😀

They charmed everything making it seem as if they were food. But in reality, it was mud. And looking at them being beautiful one moment and different the next, it's because of the glam they took based on your imagination, so you see beauty, but their real image showed when you slightly looked at them and they weren't aware that you were looking. This happens a lot in my country with children. You are lucky you were found that night, and i can only say that the only reason you weren't taken away was maybe you had something stronger with you at that moment . I love these stories

I like how some of these stories seem to mirror bits of Tolkien's literature involving elves. The story of the girl finding the "people" around a great bonfire with a great feast especially reminds me of the bit in The Hobbit where Bilbo and the dwarves stumbled upon an assembly of elves partying in the deep darkness of Mirkwood. It makes me wonder how much of Tolkien's lore is inspired by actual fairy sighting stories. Surely the man did his research and read a few dusty old books on the topic.

First air fairy encounters... now fire. The Zubervald story was my favorite, especially since a group of elder children and adults are the ones who encountered these "faerie lights", exactly the demographic that usually DOES NOT see magical things. If there are Earth fairies of rocks/mud/places under Earth's surface I would like to know, as the only ones I know of deal with trees, flowers, and other plants. I know water fairies exist, even if they are typically called nymphs and nixies in my experience.

I was there that night in Zauberwald. It happened just like She said. I saw them, they followed Me. They were not lighting bugs. They were Blue and seemed curious and playful.

My D&D players are entering the Fae-Realm, and I've been looking for more fairies to throw at them. Your videos have been a great help to really set the atmosphere for their encounters! I would love to compile a lot of your entries in the "Scary Fairy Beastiary" into an actual monster manual complete with stats for all of the fairies, since Dungeons and Dragons has very few fae creatures. Would that be ok with you? And which name would you like to be referred to as the "author" of this monster manual? (E.g.: Mortenkainen's Tome of Foes, Xanthar's Guide, etc.)

I've seen the treeline behind my house covered in millions of tiny blue lights... like the trees were decorated in christmas lights from 10 feet up the trunks all the way to the top. ....and only the trees that made up the treeline, from east to west.

I live in East Tennessee near where Oktoberfest is held which is the only German Festival in this area it's held near clayman's dome which is famous for synchronized lightning bugs and they don't just come in green and yellow

The lights certainly sound like the Fae. Spirits can also manifest as lights but yes, I'd say you probably say one of the Fae.

I was wondering if you or any of your readers have seen a good, clear photo of a fairy. In the videos I've seen, whatever-it-is runs by so fast that, even on .25 speed, it's just a blur. A few others look like rather obvious cgi. I want to see a good still photo!
