Never liked Fiats, dislike them even more now, thanks for sharing.

Reason = women with lack of spatial awareness. Many studies have been done on this subject and conclude the reason why females performed not so well in large-scale spatial ability was that they were more susceptible to emotions and their parahippocampal gyrus worked less efficiently than males.

Interesting take but no excuse nonetheless. Driving tests should in theory weed out anyone, regardless of gender, who is incapable of exhibiting the basic level of spatial awareness to drive a car. I think it was probably a case of piss-poor driving and lack of attention. The wandering onto the cycling lane after the pass makes me inclined to think this. Thanks for the contribution and comment. Take care and ride/drive safe.

This pass does appear to be stemed from aggression more than a foolish need to clear the cyclist before passing oncoming traffic. It's a little Fiat for God's sake. That lane should have had plenty of room for a proper pass.

I was unsure about the aggression angle of the pass though the cyclist also seemed to think that was the case.

When cyclists start behaving like reasonable road users, I'll start treating them like reasonable road users. Every day I see cyclists doing stupid things. Riding down the left side of cars at speeds where they would be unable to stop if the car turned left. Riding through red lights, hovering at the junction and going across while the lights are still red, riding onto pavements and back into the road. Riding with no lights at nighttime. Car drivers don't respect cyclists because cyclists don't respect the laws and rules of the road. If there is a cycling community at all, they should be posting videos about what THEY can do to better improve their relationship with other road users, because they have the worst reputation on the road and are almost universally loathed by the vast majority of road users. Once they've gotten their own community in order, motorists will be much more likely to consider criticism from them. Videos of cyclists criticising driving standards is just about the most hypocritical thing imaginable.

I don't break the law when I ride a bike or drive a car and I expect every other road user to do the same.
