The fact that this woman is still not signed to a label says a lot about the music industry. She is one of the most talented singers/song-writers that I have seen in a very long time. She is beautiful and I love that she refuses to compromise who she is just so that she'll gain a wider audience and a record deal.... She is unbelievably talented and her music is so touching, so passionate... Everyone should hear her sing.

Ahhh, I've heard a few singers on YT but TN you are one of a kind, a pearl, a gem, a precious stone. You remind me of the early days of rock & roll in that you constantly come up with tunes that stick in your head long afterwards. Document this time & preserve it well. She doesn't need to be signed to a label. She's making her own CD's, taking orders over the internet, getting way more exposure through RU-vid than most signed bands ever get... I think she's at the start of a wave of unsigned artists that will do an end run around the big music labels. As a bonus, she doesn't need to compromise herself artistically.

I enjoy Terra's music. It's her music (instrumental and vocal) that is harmoneous and resonant. Emotional or intellectual attachment to lyrics can only entangle one's conscious awareness, preventing it from expanding toward greater reality.

Lyrics are extremely important(to me anyway...maybe because I'm a songwriter) and this is a wonderful lyric. It's true melody is very important but its the marraige of the two that makes for a great song. The honeymoon is going on in this song. :)

Well if being happy, joyful, sad and so on are "extreme states of mental imbalance" (and I think emotional imbalance might be better) then that doesn't invalidate the treatise that the emotion in music and the words reflecting that state are not complimentary. Let's say this - lyrics are important to me, and having met Terra and seen the issues discussed, I believe they matter to her too.

Well, I'm a guy so I usually drop the capo altogether and get the tuning down two steps. (that's C I believe) If the capo would have been on the first fret I would probably tune down half a step, or, since my guitar is always tuned low I would still put a capo on first. Wouldnt advise doing that without a proper floortuner, but its one of the few ways a guy can sing this properly.

Hi Terra, I think this song goes over much better with you looking out at the audience like in your first vid. It's so much more intimate that way. This is one of my favorite songs of yours. It's very beautiful and I think the true beauty is better conveyed when it's more intimate. Cool outfit and you look great..but not for this song.

Lyrics aren't important, never have been, except for political songs. That's because it's all about the music, which includes the vocal melody. It's the music of the voice that's important, not the words that are sung. The words could be jibberish, or a foreign language, as long as the voice is melodic. :)

The importance of lyrics is a delusion. Emotional attachment to words is a delusional state. Emotion, by definition is an extreme state of mentatl imbalance - it's not harmoneous. Since when is being emotional condusive to harmony? It's the extreme opposite.
