I hope that when the restoration is complete, a live camera will be focused on the clock, possibly from the Victoria Tower, so the whole world can see and hear it any time of the day or night.
I always go to London but one of the buildings that I love to see is Big Ben I hope that in 2023 they finish the remodeling so I can visit it inside thanks for sharing this incredible video
Interesting Fact about Big ben: The Bell You were Close to had 2 hammers, Why? Because The Bell is struck twice during the melody chiming, Also without the 2nd hammer, the 1st Hammer would not have time to Stirke the bell, Witch is why there are 2 hammers needed for the Melody
WERE THE BELLS LOUD IN BIG BEN DID YOU NOT WERE EAR DEFENDERS LOVE FROM SHELBIE XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
Hopefully I see London even knowing it is 12 8 AM it was just the 15 minute bells rang just 15 minutes ago because it’s midnight where I am because I’m in America
@@jordantrivett3587 its called hammer the clapper is a long stick with a ball in the middle of the inside of a bell these striking the bells are clock hammers
Here is a fact. A 13.7 tonne charter bus weighs the same as big ben!!! If you put the hammer on a balance scales with a lion, it would be simular weight!!!
@@darrent6814 ya mind you the clapper is 400 weight... and had it been the 1,300 weight clapper the 1st big ben had before it was recast at Whitechapel the vibration of the bell would be far greater
@@columnedfox5508 Could have been the camera shaking as well. Of course all bells vibrate when struck, although it is a stationary bell (non-swinging), however I'm not sure if the vibration is strong enough to be seen by the human eye.
i was at it for the last chimes but outside i have a vid about it but i wish i could see the bell in real life and get a vid of it chiming with me stood next to it
@@1260stedders i have actually been up barrow town hall clock to the very top didnt film it sadly because i wasnt kyle the ringer at the time or a bell ringer
