God bless you, man. I'll pray for you. And remember: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) Just confess your sins. Jesus came not for those who are saved or good, Jesus came for us, sinners. We need first to believe in Jesus with all our heart, then He will come and change our lives.
Damn Shane puts everything into his songs. I still can't sing a couple of these songs without my voice giving way. To think he performed plenty of songs on many occasions.. Wherever you are Shane, if you put half as much passion into your future endeavors as you did with your music, your fans will see you again. Best of luck to you.
The quote at the end is from the book of Matthew in the bible, its about saying to the church that has forgot its original purpose that loving every single human being is one of the main purposes behind Christianity
I've been shackled underneath all these lies for the last time And I'm throwing them aside There's too much apathy that clouds my mind Words cannot express the sadness I'm feeling If this is all we are I'm walking out the door I want no part of it, there has to be something more Hope without action can't be the end I can say I love you, it's never enough Aren't we the ones who walk the narrow road? Aren't we the voices that come from before the throne? And when we stand for revolution's sake The world will know, they'll know Your name If this is all we are I'm walking out the door I want no part of it, there has to be something more Speaking hope without action can't be the end I can say I love you, but God it's never enough It's never been enough, it's…
The passion and drive that Shane had will never be found in another human being, let alone another vocalist. You will never be truly replaced Shane. We will miss you man.
Oh my gaawd. Shane's vocals are amazing. As soon as hr opens his mouth I'm just shocked by his voice. Close Your Eyes will never be the same without him.
My friend told me his cousin is the guitarist in this band and ever since then I can’t stop listening to them, shout out to Zeke who didn’t even know they were this awesome 😂😂
You know, some people who call themselves christian would think this music is "evil" just because they scream and yell. I don't call it "evil", i call it passion coming out in the form of screaming at the top of your lungs. In the end, the words are what really matter's in music.
@danutter12 the quote "whatever you did for one of the least of the brothers of Mine, you did to Me," refers to when Jesus addressed the people that he called out in saying they didn't help Him out. Its not the Church they are addressing....its you & how you should love everyone
I just finished reading the majority of the past comments and would like to compliment the people discussing the controversial topic at hand. The majority of comments left on these pages are ill-informed, hateful, and irrelevant. However, it appears that a difficult discussion is taking place with respect on this page, and i commend the people who are participating. Hate = Hate.
@sirr09 It's really see to meet someone who keeps a rather straight head, debates fairly well, but is also religious. I have no specific faith nor am I really atheist. But most people I run into, whether it be on RU-vid or the streets, have no foundation for their conversations, just more or less preaching, lacking a better term. But I know for a fact that not all religious followers are like this, and you helped me realize this again. Thanks for helping me regain some faith. (:
well that explains it, lol. thanks for clarifying. i would think that on youtube or the album it would give him some mention, but i guess not. sorry for doubting you :D
This song and video attack really great problems of our generation: the problem of hypocrisy and that of the love of money. People are worth more than anything material. Love people!
Lolol at those kids that hate this band because they are Christian even though they have one of the best message out there in the hardcore scene and they are sound amazing
First of all, whatever you think a genre is or is about or should be about, noone cares what you have to say as long as you hate... This, according to modern standards is melodic hardcore en Green Day being pop/punk. The actual 2012 name for this type of music is Easycore, the reason being it's melodic (easy on the ear) mixed with hardcore.
@StandardSnowboarding Makes sense, i just liked the hopeful and defiant tone of WWOC. over the down tone of HHEH, but injustice had the same gold as digging graves
@GarrettRayKemple I think its a clever bit of social commentary. Note that the man who gets jilted in the trade is a priest, and he wants to make sure that something isn't released from the church, so that's why he sends henchies after the guy with whom he traded briefcases. Note the lyrics: "I won't stand for this/This can't be the body You spoke of" It seems like they are criticizing the church for forgetting how to love. Hope this helps. God bless.
Why did they give no credit to Mattie Montgomery it dosen't say he is featured in this song in the title line and Shane Raymond is lip singing over Mattie's vocal line?
