Closing a Tube end 

Great effort. But induction heating works well on iron pipes.

I'm not sure I can say about this because I'm not a professional for this one. But I want to say that, what if they use induction coil instead of using gas torch to heat the material? I saw it works on copper, but I'm not sure with iron tube or this one.
