According to the established tradition, the Turbo Racing Cup time Attack championship closes the season at the Moscow Raceway track. On October 17, we once again gathered our friendly racing community to compete for the best lap time for the last time in the 2021 season. Although for the participants of the regular Turbo Racing Cup championship, the races were held in a ”light" extra-set format, no one was going to give way on the pedestal so easily and at times the racers were close.
But the main attention was focused on the pilots of our new championship - TRC PRO. For these guys, the stage at Moscow Raceway was held in a scoring format and was supposed to determine the winners of the 2021 season.
The winner of the stage in Gr3 was Maxim Baranov on a Honda Civic (EK), having won back almost ten seconds at the end of three scoring races from the nearest competitor. The participants of the other two pro-groups showed denser times. In Gr2, Matvey Cherkasov took the first place on Subaru BRZ with a time of 02.02.048, beating one of the leaders of the standings, Timur Khusainov. Dmitry Roik on Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GDB) became the undisputed leader of Gr1. But for the second position all three races there was a competitive struggle between Sergey Gontyurev in a Renault Megane RS (III) and Alexander Nazarov in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (X). As a result, Sergey turned out to be the second on the pedestal, beating Alexander by 0.0.506 seconds in total.
The season turned out to be intense and we closed it with dignity! The winners of the stage were awarded with cups and gifts from sponsors, and a big award ceremony is waiting for us in winter.
