Great video! This gal was focused on the project and described exactly what she was doing without a lot of unnecessary talking. Video taker was awesome as well.
You explained everything so clear. Thank you. I have been making bowls, rugs, placemats, chair pads and next want to make a purse. You do nice work. I lea Ned even more tricks. Thank you again.
A helpful hint would be to place books or magazines next to your machine, the same height, so your wider project doesn't hang off the machine on the left-hand side. Fun project!
Really enjoyed your video. Thank you and I love the way you get to the point with no nonsense. You seem so sweet honest and helpful. 😎👍🌸❤️ God bless you for making the video
Thank you! This is the most instructive and clearly explained video I have seen on making clothesline crafts, especially wrapping the cord with fabric! You're a great teacher!
I just happened upon your video and the name intrigued me. I have to say your video was one of the best I’ve seen. You provide such thorough and detailed explanations of every step, anticipating any questions that might arise that I know I can do this! I will watch further to see how to create the actual bowl shape but I do think I will make some new placements! Thank you!
I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up 👍 too. I really really enjoyed watching this, and you certainly are very good at showing us how to make these things. Thank you so much. Please stay safe and well too.
I’m from Vernon! So nice to see someone on RU-vid from my part of the world. My daughter and her husband are just building a home in that area so I hope to be able to visit your shop. Really enjoyed the demo. Couple of things I would like to see. If you could show the start of a project with the wrapping, ie. how to get going. And it would be good to see how you sew a basket with wrapping, ie. turning from the bottom to the wall, going up the sides. Thanks!
Thank you so very much!! My husband and I took out the berber carpet in our livingroom 2 years ago and we put in hardwood floor. Our dogs have not been able to run to play fetch with toys very well on the slippery floor. I've been wanting to get a big decorative carpet, but do not have the funds to get one, yet. Watching you has given me some GREAT ideas using cotton cording and some neutral color fabrics..... (not to do a circle or oval rug), but to incorporate a few other ideas - to create an amazing rug for our living room and hallway!!! I will try to post pics as I go along and work on this project!
Excellent tutorial and very well explain, we are located in Panama City, Republic of Panama, my wife was looking for this kind of tutorial, thanks and continue making others videos.
This was amazing!! Thank you for making this video- I have wanted to try this but was frankly intimidated by it. After seeing this I might just have to give it a whirl:). Happy Holidays!
I am going to have to watch your intro twice. Your studio is so gorgeous, and is so filled with gorgeous distraction I am missing what you are saying ; )
Thanks for this great detailed video. I have made a few rope projects mostly bowls and placemats. However, I am going to undertake a larger entry rug. I was wondering if you have a formula on how long to make the initial strip for a rug that would be 35 by 70?
What thread should we use? cotton? polyester? all purpose? Thank you for your clear instructions. Can't wait to get working on some coasters and trivets 🙂
I would roll up the fabric strips, and then you can easily wind and wrap the cord like you would with a bandage, and you wouldn't have to deal with the length of it getting wound up.
thank you very much ma'am ..my mother asked me to do this for her and finally i found soeone doing those table sets with sewing machine ...cause gluing is not actually very resistable
Thank you...I thought since they were being “wound” around the rope, they were suppose to be. I’m glad to know you didn’t...now I know how good my bowls can look w/o bias and do straight of grain instead! Thanks again!
Like someone else pointed out. Wouldn't u wrap fabric around the cording and the wind, instead of placing strips of sewing fabric on top of the sewn together cording??
What does it mean if the center of my placemat keeps trying to “pucker up”? I can’t get it to lay flat and then it starts causing the entire placemat to curl. I’m stuck!
