Sew this enchanting rope bowl and then embroider the bottom with your embroidery/sewing machine.

Learned two new things from your tutorial: how to embroider on a bowl and that pulling slightly on the rope causes the sides to be more vertical. Thank you!

Great video...on the bottom, I use vinyl wws so I can just tear it off and not have leftover paper to deal with...works great...I also use matching bobbin thread so it has the same design on the outside as the inside...and the designs I use are 'sketch' so it's not too dense...I love making these bowls...

If you use mod podge to seal in iron on transfers do your bowls stick together?

I've never tried that. I think it would depend on the iron on transfer as some of them have a rubbery feel that Mod Podge would peel off of it.

I have the rope in one hand and the strip of fabric that will be wrapped around the rope in the other hand. Hope this helped!

What is flagging ?

It's when there is too much space between the embroidery foot and the fabric in the hoop. causing the fabric to move up and down with the motion of the needle. The foot should hold the fabric down while the needle comes out of the fabric, but not so tightly that it interferes with the movement of the hoop between stitches. If the fabric flops up and down, the stitch isn't formed correctly, resulting in skipped stitches, fraying thread, and thread breakage.
