At 24:39 I’m talking about what to do with the OBC. After the video was filmed, I realized that when I cut and terminated the wires for the factory charging port, that you still have to ground the yellow wire that goes into the OBC. If you don’t,the cart will drive but it will have maybe 1/4 power. It acted real strange. I cut the yellow wire going into the OBC, put a ring terminal on it and out it onto the B- terminal of the controller. Then the cart had full power. It’s all stock with 23” tires on 12” wheels. I’m getting 21 mph cruising on flat ground. I went 31 miles on 50% of the battery.
I am thinking I made a mistake and purchased a 48v 105 ah skinny lithium battery and I didn't realize I have a plastic battery tray. Is there an easy way to make the skinny battery fit or to add a metal/aluminium tray that will comfortably fit the skinny battery? I have a club car precedent
I have cut out the middle plastic section of precedents to make the batteries fit nicely. If you can send a picture of what you are working with I may can offer a solution
Can you share what you bought for your 12v set up? I'd like to have that all planned before I order. Thanks for your video! Also. Do you feel it is really 400amp peak discharge for 30 sec? And the 200 amp constant draw is legit as well?
You will need a fuse block, a 48v relay, and a step down reducer. dkplnt 20A 240W 12v Golf Cart 48V 36V to 12V Converter Voltage Regulator Reducer Transformer with Fuse a.co/d/7efD6he 6 Way Fuse Block,12V Blade Fuse 6 Circuit ATC/ATO Waterproof Fuse Box Holder with LED Indicator Waterpoof Cover for 12V/24V Automotive Truck Boat Marine RV Van Vehicle a.co/d/9GEolb1 uxcell JD-2912 5 Pin DC 48V 40A Universal Car Vehicle Motor Fuse Relay Switch Power with Harness a.co/d/5j5fgdN And yes I think the stats are legit. II have tried to trip my BMS and haven’t been able to.

@@DoItWithDean your the man! Sorry for so many questions, but its a big investment. I appreciate your time. Do you happen to know what the difference is between the 42 volt 100 amp batteries they sell? there is the GFA-48v the on you have and GFS-48 thats $400 more. I see it has metal handles built into the top and is just heavier. Is it just a steal case vs plastic case? if thats it, is there any real advantage that your aware of with the steel case? Again thanks for all your time and help!
Hey dean have you had any issues with the battery cutting out on you? I just got my installed and the cart run great but I’m noticing the battery is just cutting out on me randomly. Takes about 30-60secs and then it’ll run again.
@@DoItWithDean I have the 48v 60 ah battery in my 2011 club car precedent. I tried to see if there was maybe setting I could access in the app but I couldn’t figure out how to pair my phone to the battery.
@@ExploreFamilyChiropractic do you know what the BMS is on that battery? I’m not as familiar with that one if it is a cloud energy battery. You really need a least a 200a BMS in most carts or it will shut down occasionally to protect the battery. Check and see how many amps you are pulling uphill and wide open. My carryall never draws over about 180 and it runs wide open at around 74a
Great video! I just ordered the same battery for my Yamaha G29 cart. We're you able to get ahold of Cloudenergy by phone? I've only been able to communicate with them via WhatsApp messages.
@DoItWithDean Dylan definitely does respond quickly. Did they mention if the lcd screen is water resistant at all? Also did you have to adjust your BMS for heavier loads/hill climbing?
@@mrtosh they didn’t say if the screen was water resistant but mine stays out in the weather and I have seen no moisture intrusion. I have not needed to mess with the BMS. I have tried to trip mine by climbing steep hills etc., but mine has never shut down.
There's a little red slider at the bottom of the player, feel free to scrub to the part you want to see. That's what its there for. Thanks for watching that 4 minutes though….ZZZZZ.
