Nice walkthrough! It's an exciting tool, have been impatiently waiting for it since they announced it last year. Definitely has potential to be awesome
Thanks for the tutorial. Cool new Feature. Wish it would be a live Image from the Timeline only restricted in what everybody can See by a Marker range in the timeline, so then it would be possible for the Editor to do Changes live
Interesting idea - though I think that's not really possible. At least not if other users are able to navigate around on their own to leave comments. Cause for this they need access to every frame. In synched presentation mode I guess it could be possible but then you would be limited to that and users wouldn't be able to review / comment on their own when the editor is not running the system. I think it's good to have a solution that can work asynchronous with the added option of having a short life discussion...
Please, now that Resolve has the new transcript to subtitles feature, would be interesting que the new tutorials will incluye this subtitles, sure they are better than generated automatic ones for RU-vid. Thanks!
Thank you Bernd for this presentation. Have you tried the new "Remote Moniotring" feature. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how to use it and how the person on the other end connects.
it would be amazing to have the video chat integration in the timeline, to be able to chat with a remote editor, directly in the timeline without need to make a render..
Thanks for that Video. I tried to use it (50 Minutes Videos), but my only some smaller uploads (< 5 Minutes ) works (Error: Upload Failed). Are there any limitations here? I use Studio and just loged in in Cloud Presenations without paying.
Hi, I'm using DVR Cloud and as I'm not the "KING" , I use only proxies tio work on the collaborating project. The source rushes are on the computer of the main station in another place my computer can't reach ... So my question is simple : can I do quick export with proxies ?😊
Yes, you can generate proxies from that place and put them into the location the other machine can reach. But that's nor related to cloud presentations. Check out my video about cloud workflow and proxies.
Great video so helpful! At 3:57 you show how the markers automatically appear in DaVinci. Very excited about that feature, Sadly 😞that is not happening for me on my Mac. Any idea what settings I need to change to make that happen? Thanks so much for responding.
I suspect some export problem where the link to the timeline got lost, or maybe some change to the timeline after export that breaks it? Feel free to report to BMD since it's still beta.
Annoying part is that clients need to register and cannot just join as guest without logging in… It’s too bothersome for every single client/user to create a one-time-use account… Even I wouldn’t do that if I was asked to.
Well for regular collaboration probably not a big deal. Also question about security when sharing something that doesn't require signup with proper authentication. But yes, for some people a link+password option could make sense.
I think they do need a simple free account to get in there. Since it also allows for direct video call etc. I suppose a simple sign-up is a reasonable protection.
We'll see. I think they will have to be somewhat below the pricing of frame.io and I assume pricing will be linked to some upload limitation. But that's all guessing at the moment.
Ineresting, feel free to share this with BMD via the forum or support channel. Generally, I feel creating an account is very straight forward, free, and provides a simple way of security. Though I suppose a way to share with link and password would be nice.
I don't know - as I said BMD has not released the price yet. The beta access is free for now. A cloud library costs 5$ per month - but that's for the project server which is independent of presentations.
@squirekev indeed. Though for some clients I think it might be easier to manage them in a live call compared to just getting those "need the moon" comments via email...
