I just started with Cloudcompare (CC) and I have found different ways to measure surface and volume. I would like to ask, which one is more accurate? 1. method is to mesh the point cloud and then go: 'Edit -> Mesh -> Delaunay 2.5D (xy plane)' or 'Edit -> Mesh -> Delaunay 2.5D (best fitting plane)'. After I meshed the point cloud, again I go to 'Edit -> Mesh -> Measure Surface' or Volume. The results pop up in the console. The units are square units or cube units, perspectively. That means, if your input data has meter as lenght unit then is it square meters/cube meters, right? 2. method is the one in the video. Depending on the grid size, I get different results. But these are way over the top different :'). Would you please give an explanation. Thank you very much for this video and stay healthy:)
