Hey, thanks for the review video! Sorry if it's covered elsewhere but can you speak at all to what protective gear you're wearing here? I enjoy this hobby but am old enough to recognize my fragility and am looking for recommendations. Thanks!
Check my channel for videos on Nobleman (helmet and Carbon elbow / Knee), and LeKnight gloves. There should even be a coupon code in each one. Also the Beyond Riders Armored Flannel! They have summer shirts too, and they’re super comfy as well as padded all over. I used to wear 187Killer Pads and Protec Wrist guards, which are good, but I like the other stuff more. Yup, I’m over 50, and have had a couple of crashes on these esk8’s, so I know I need all the protection I can get 😂 Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
I’m about to pre-order the new Exway Atlas Pro 4WD. I’ve been trying to decide whether to get these CloudWheel Rovers or the 120mm CloudWheels. It’s great to hear that the Rovers provide more range than the pneumatics, but how much more range would the 120mm CloudWheels provide? What is your opinion on the Rovers vs. 120mm CW? I’m leaning towards buying that 120’s for the extra range. Thanks for the informative videos!!!
I actually think that the Rovers are going to provide more range than the 120’s. The regular cloud wheels always mean a sacrifice to range on any setup, but they’re super comfy. And on the Atlas, the reduced height kinda negates the AT capabilities. Also, they aren’t very good for grass and real AT situations. Great for basic urban AT though. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
That’s a big question 😜 Couple things to consider: what’s your budget? Have you ridden one before? How much do you weigh (not as important with larger boards)? What type of terrain will you ride (rough asphalt, sidewalks, grass, etc)? With that, I can give you a better recommendation. Lemme know! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
how would you say these compare to the shaboardz airless wheels and what is more worth it in your opinion. those being full on rubber make me think they will grip nicer.
The Shaboardz wheels are actually rubber all the way through. They’re both great wheels, and these are actually a bit stiffer than Shaboardz. Hard to choose really. Grip is the same or maybe slightly better on Shaboardz, but pretty close. Sorry I didn’t have a better answer for ya man! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Thank you! Yes, as long as that board can deal with wheels of this diameter and is a belt drive, you should be able to use em. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Hey whats up .. how are the wheels holding out now ? And did you figure out a way to keep the belt guard on with these wheels ?? If not how did ur belt hold up ??? Thanks
Hey John! Considering that I have several boards and try to ride them all to keep the batteries healthy, I do ride this rig at least once a week. Wheels still rockin, with a good amount of wear, but still completely viable. Probably about 300 miles on them. Can’t use the belt guards with them, but a lot of people remove them anyways as they can actually help trap small stones and twigs in there. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
