I use to race back in the 80/90's I made a brief return to the hobby around 2010 and I couldn't believe how far the hobby has come, the cars now! Well you can do just about anything you want to, there are so many cottage industries devoted to the hobby, the Italian & Spanish guys are truly the innovators I watch the world finals and 24 hour races on YT, thanks for taking the time to produce & post! I used to put a small amount of cutting paste on the pinion gear just to cut and match the teeth, it did make a difference the car ran quieter & quicker 🤔

I have never had a Racer brand car. But it looks exactly like a Slot It. All the stuff you showed is exactly what I do with my Slot It cars.

It is not an issue per say . When you have a podded car like the car in the video you can do so much to improve the handling of the car. Today's cars are so far ahead of the cars that came out just 10 years ago. As we move along we will be getting more in depth on tuning of your cars.

It was very interesting watching the fine tuning the motor pod to the chassis & the the chassis to the body. So the body, chassis & motor pod improves drive-ability as the car is allowed to flex around corners & soak up some of the irregularities on the track. Is tracking sometimes an issue with modern slot cars theses days?

thats true ..cant live without supertires...Hey Mike lets do a vid strictly on gearing and show some exmples (tires-sizes, motor -torque, short-track,long-straight,much-curves...etc.) and how about a vid on various tyoes of controllers and how to set them ?

What is the purpose of "float"? It seems like a very small effect if any. Am I wrong? I race Carrera which has 4 screws. I'm guessing no float?

what about adding weight for no mag racing?

Never saw a race car used with magnets....magnets are for kids racing...suspension effect and chassis edges sanded looks for natural effects in driving, things that get lost with magnets...
