I still can't forget the Blues support when they came to the Lane in the Fa Cup 1980. 5,000 packed in the Park Lane and the noise they made gave me goosebumps when the sang Keep right on. Always had a soft spot for them and always a good tear up with them when we played at St Andrews.Good luck for the new season and hope someone invents a time machine because I so sorely miss football in the late 70's and 80's.
Ive lived in Brum for 24 years now and although Im a United supporter I have loads of respect for Blues. Brilliant support on this night and hope you get back up to the Pl asap. Your loyal fans deserve it !!
I really don't think you could top this though. 14,000 fans over in the city, 8,000 in the ground. A Championship team beating a high quality European team in their own back yard with the winning goal in the 9th minute of injury time. For me this is right up there with the Carling Cup Final. Great clips. Wish I'd been there. I remember been blown away by this (and by Bruges fans response to Blues). This week it seems a Newcastle fan had cause to misrepresent the time of Birmingham in Bruges. What a shame they did not check your excellent site first.
Last year there was like 5 arrests out of 10000+ that went. And them 5 were more or less drink related offences. Other then that, we had a good report and have had a fair good bondage with Club Brugges since.
We were only given 1,500 tickets to begin with. 5,500 was in that one stand and there were around 8,000 Blues inside the ground (I know plenty of people who sat in Brugge end). Overall, there was 10,000 of us who went to Brugges. How many do you think Newcastle will take?
Give Birmingham city the same success as a top team ,we would raise the roof off by stadium in the world ..as we've always done ..regularly rated as the best way fans anyone has ever seen ...were just cursed with shitty owners and bad luck ..

How many tickets did Birmingham fans get allocated, Newcastle have only been allocated 1470 despite requesting far more and I imagine that far more people than that will have already booked travel
well i dno but i think the cops didnt want people hanging around outside or groups of ppl in places? like my cousin and uncle didnt get tickets but went anyways and ended up in the away end. got sold tix at the gate, no shit.
