Channel 4's Club X Featuring Gary Numan and a theme about machines
Some of Gary's fans took part in this, filmed at the Flag in north Wembley and a studio in another location.
Also featured Papertoys lead singer Joe Quinton.
When this program was finally aired on C4 there was a power cut affecting southern England (Crystal palace transmitter), so those of us who lived in the south missed the parts that were filmed at the Flag (The first 25 minutes). Somebody from another part of England (UP NORTH) recorded it for me, whoever that was, i thank you. Regards Paul

Proud to say that I was at the last ever gig at the flag in 91, I won a mini cd on the night that John Webb presented to me, there's no better people, than numan fans!

I went to the Re-volition gig at the Roundhouse in 2019. This was the first time I’d seen Gary in almost thirty years, and I turned up early to get right to the front with a friend of mine who is a Numanoid through and through, and not only did i totally enjoy the performance, i also loved being amongst Gary’s fans. They are wonderful and gorgeous people.

Fascinating dated tribute for a living legend. He is quite a phenom overseas, especially the UK of course. Great to see him getting some respect, despite the lack of American interest at this point in time. I still don't understand why he doesn't make it into the US top 40, guess promotion does matter huh?

I'm glad you think so Jacob, we came from virtually nowhere with our first ever gig at the Flag in Wembley in January 1987 and then the Tour with Gary Numan a year later in September/October 88.Before we did the gig at the Flag we were a bedroom band and two years later we got the Metal Rhythm Tour, quite amazing when you think about it.

I remember that concert in 1989 with paper toys as the supporting act. I had a ticket for that concert and my mum at the last minute said I couldn't go in case something happened to me. My brother went. He got me that poster that can be seen sliding across the screen, I used to have it above my headboard. Paper Toys by the way were a great band, the fact they never made it is bizarre.

Jacob Rhodes Did you tell her you could go with your brother? Or was their only one ticket? Shame that. Hope you will have seen plenty concerts then and any in the near future. I've been trying to find PaperToys or any videos relating to them. Can't seem to find any. Having that poster above the headboard would be a lovely souvenir too :)
