6:00 really shows how super fashion forward Cher was. Louis Vuitton luggage was definitely already a luxury luggage item for those who could afford it, but for Cher to casually have these as her backpack replacement really speaks to both her wealth and style sense. LV didn’t explode with the mass consumer until early Y2K when they had huge celebrity endorsement campaigns that made their multicolor print handbags the must have item, but Cher was already rocking the classic monogram print here in the 90s!
Uncle Marvin wore Cher's father's tshirt to Woodstock Festival 1969, which Mel decided not to attend. Didn't know that Mel grew up somewhere near upstate NY. My guess? Brooklyn.
In the movie it is assumed Mel's a New Yorker due to his accent. I guess they decided to follow the same background for this version of Mel, so it makes sense for his brother to have been able to attend Woodstock back in the day.
lmaoo the way they said that they’re so “english” when they’re from Manchester😭😭, I would say London are the most english, I’m from the north east and the accents are much more slang up here
Prolly 'cause Cher grew up having to solve her own problems since her father was an attorney. She doesn't ask other people to solve her problems for her but rather, she asks them how to solve her problems. It's probably one of the reasons as to why I love her character. Even though she's wealthy and has people around her to help her, she insists to solve her problems on her own.
