Thanks man. This really helped me out on my Taskmaster 304. I used a 3/32" long Allen wrench as a feeler gauge. The fingers were about a half inch from the throw out bearing when I started. Haha.

From Circle Tractor Helps: For Jinma Tractors, Farm Pro Tractors, and More Jinma 3 Finger Clutch Adjustment 2/19/2016 On your Jinma tractor, clutch adjustments are done through the inspection cover on the side of the bellhousing, with the clutch installed on the flywheel. If you have a front-end loader attached to the tractor, remove the mounting bracket in order to expose the inspection opening. Rotate the flywheel or the crankshaft pulley to make each of these adjustments. If your tractor is equipped with a compression release, clamp it in the open position to allow the flywheel to turn more freely. Now you're ready to adjust your Jinma clutch: 1) First, set the Release Finger gap. There are two nuts on each finger. The top is the lock nut and the bottom is the adjustment nut. Turn the adjustment nut until the gap between the finger and the throwout bearing is 2.5mm, and then tighten each lock nut. Repeat this process for each finger. It's very important to set each finger exactly the same. If you don't set the gap of each finger evenly, the clutch will wear unevenly. 2) Next, set the PTO gap. There are two nuts between each finger on the clutch. The top is the lock nut and the bottom is the adjustment nut. Insert a 1.5mm feeler gauge between the BOTTOM of the adjustment nut and the pressure plate. Tighten the adjustment until it touches the gauge, and then tighten the lock nut. Repeat this process for each set of nuts. 3) Next, adjust your clutch pedal freeplay to about 1 inch using the turnbuckle below the clutch pedal. 4) Double-check each measurement after tightening the lock nuts to ensure that they have not changed.

I just bought a 250A and the clutch doesn't release on it ! I did manage to get it into gear and start and I drove it, So I Know the clutch isn't slipping. But when I push the clutch pedal NOTHING happens !. Gears grind and won't go into place (haven't tried forcing them !!!) Was hoping someone could help me figure out why it won't release. There is NOT much travel at all in the pedal !. Feels like the Pressure plate inst flexing anymore !?!?!?. Please somebody help. I really need to mow some grass !!. Thanks and Happy Holidays from Dan and Jo Ballard/Ballard Towing in Ocklawaha FL 32179.

My dad's has done something similar and we take the top plate off that attaches the gear shifter. We repositioned the slides inside "not sure what they are called" and put it back together. The problem is, if you don't push down on the shifter when shifting, it would stay in the original gear and not shift.

If you can't adjust it for normal operation you likely have a bad throw out bearing.when they go, there is not adjusting it enough for the clutch to disengage. If it's bad, you will have to split the tractor to replace it.
