When he got punch in the ear that hurt him bad. He let his gard down I don't want him to continue in the ufc I'm sorry just enjoy your life with aj Lee. He should of learn boxing first 60$ for this shit
+June Amarillo He most likely had the WWE feel of walking out to that song again is all i'm saying. You can't disregard that he used this song in WWE for 3 years
If it were someone like Heyman who was running WWE, punk would be back in a flash. I think he said he had no passion to stop Vince from constantly calling him to come back. I feel that punk still watches and loves professional wrestling however it would be very unlikely that he'd come back after the fiasco with Vince. Even if triple h is there, punk MIGHT return some day
Even tho Punk lost, at least he had the balls to something not a lot of people at his age would do. He had no mma background whatsoever but still much respect to him and congrats to Mickey.
What are you smoking he made a mockery of mma fighters, he decided one day iam going to try UFC with no experience screw all the fighters that's been training all their lives for this and iam so glad he got his shit pushed in now he's the joke of UFC I bet WWE having a big laugh at the titan tower's!
But if you're a UFC figher and this WWE entertainer comes into your real combat league with REAL fighters using his WWE entrance then of course you going to take him down fast. I didn't get to see the whole entrance but I saw what little bit of the fight they had. LOL I was laughing the whole time.
It was bad enough that he was acting cocky as he was going in. At least to me it seemed that way, with the faces he was making, and with his tongue. I was like "nooooooo, you better win if you're gonna act that way."
in a weird way, the fact that he got his ass beat and I think deep down he knew it was going to happen, makes this entrance even cooler, it's like he is walking to his death with a smile on his face, enjoying the moment for what it is, that's pretty badass IMO.
No. He really thought he stood a chance. Which goes to show how delusional he is. Wrestlers who worked with him when he was younger will tell how full of himself he was even back then.
This had a main event feel? The ufc marketed the guy so much because he's famous and he got smashed like nothing, they basically sucked the life out of him and give no fucks about him now.
***** Haha and why? So he doesn't get mauled by actual professional fighters with way more than 2 years of experience, but instead gets to fight opposition closer to his own experience. You can't become and shouldn't fight professional fighters at 37 with no prior martial arts experience - so it's a good thing you ignorant moron.
Enough with this "credit for giving it a go" what? So you get trophies for being a loser nowadays?? He clearly has no experience in fighting, these professionals have been fighting in MMA for years before they got in the UFC. He clearly failed. Him and his idiotic wife burned their bridges with WWE (which they should have never done) because now they both will be out of a job until they decide to join TNA or something like that. He needs to thank WWE for giving him a name, but instead he trashes the company for a stupid staff infection, where he could've just got his own Doctor.
DonD512 If he said that in an interview or during some shoot promo then I'm not aware of it. I stopped following his career after he left WWE. Not out of hate, I just stopped caring.
Proud for what? He talked trash, refused to shake hands, made an arrogant entrance, had zero offense, bad defense and tapped out in less than 3 minutes.
Yes, I am going to step in the octagon. And talk trash, refuse to shake hands, come out to Justin Bieber, zero offense, bad defense and tap out in 2 minutes if the price is right. What pride?
he 100% should not have had his first fight in UFC proper. Brock Lesnar and Batista both had their first mma fights on smaller shows. Punk should've been the same
I know it. What was the game plan anyway? "charge towards him like it's 1994 UFC 5 and no one knows about wrestling, double legs or sprawling!!!" ya that oughtta work!!
the gameplan for punk was to not get knocked out cold. who trains two fucin years and does not know to sprawl or know about spacing and feints and when your in danger of being hit. he did it on purpose so he wouldn't leave beaten bloddied and broke orbital bones. ground n pound is a lot safer then haymakers. when I seen him charge I already knew he knew he was not gonna win so just let him take you down and hope your ju jitsu lets your survive long enough for fans to have some sort of emotion for you to somehow have a chance. easy payday and smart fight by punk to leave that cage with his health
I always respected CM Punk. It takes balls to do what he has done. No MMA background but he still did it. I respect him even more. #BestInTheWorld #CultOfPersonality ;)
why should he go to Titan or an other org? Dana made him the offer so the most of the fighters would exept... and he defenetly got a lot more money in UFC :D

I don't respect a man who took a spot that could of belong to a young fighter working his way to the ufc instead this asshole stoled it and cut corners punk knew people had connections to get in the ufc didn't get proper time to train had a reputation because of the wwe got in the cage and lost miserably how can anybody respect somebody who cheated his way to the UFC and get praised more then the winner if anybody had the chance we would all step in the cage with a pro fighter and get our asses kicked for 500k so anybody can do what cm punk did
It's probably because it's his first fight in MMA and he has only trained constantly for how long, probably less than a year in total as he kept getting injured. While it is probably obvious that he's been taught on how to quickly react, in a real fight- his first one at that- he's going to feel the pressure and feel a bit weird since he's not used to it.
i think CM Punk make the mistake for charging into Gall, i was expecting him to stay circling and go for punch and kick, why he want to get close to a submission fighter? Punk should be defending and patience in his first fight, he may last longer if he didn't make that wrong move..the moment Punk charge forward, i know it is going to be bad for him, i was predicting Punk would stay circling for at least 2 round to frustrate Gall...
You win some you lose some... At the end of the day he did something most people wouldn't dare do and something he wanted to do that made him happy regardless of the outcome... I didn't like him that much when he was wrestling but I'm definitely a fan now...
+Chris Warren That's false... Besides if he was in entertainment for money he would have stayed in WWE where he made way more... And obviously he got the "attention" he was seeking lol...
people criticizes and mocks him, it was his first match it doesn't mean he is a loser, a lot of professional mma fighters with experience loose a match in 1 minute...anyway I respect him and I think people, who loves criticizing and know nothing about martial Arts, would loose in 10 seconds with one punch
What you don't seem to get is that this was a main card fight in UFC. If it were in RFA, Legacy, TITAN, CES, hell, even Bellator...it wouldn't be so bad.
Still don't get it, huh? Funny you bring McGregor up, seeing as even HE fought in regional orgs before UFC, he's the UFC featherweight champion, his record is(correct me if I'm wrong)19-3 and, most important, that fight was a welterweight bout. The point is, if Brooks, like Bautista, like Lesnar, like Lashley, like Rodriguez(Alberto Del Rio), started his MMA career in the regionals, THAT would be praiseworthy. Unfortunately, he decided to jump the shark and start right at the top. Life doesn't work like that, no matter who you are.
+Graeme Williams got the point, so? if punk fought in the main event it's because he has a name...and I think everybody Will criticize him even if it wouldn't have fought in the main event
wwe theme ? wow glad to see him on tv win or loose he got balls for doing this ppl in these comments with no life and no balls criticizing him on shit that they have no balls on doing themselves #RESPECT2CMPUNK
Twisted Gambit where in my comment did i said anything about wwe owning that theme ?? the only thing i said is that the theme he had when he was with wwe is being used with ufc
Watching this as a WWE fan is just sad, no other way to put it. All the hype right up to this entrance and then reality hit for Punk and everyone else. The guy should have never been in there. On top of that it didn't seem like he had the best gameplan. Ran right at Gall and allowed himself to be taken down.
I honestly think he's more capable than this, and that the gameplan ruined it for him. That made it much harder for him, on top of the experience disadvantage. Of course he's never going to be the best or near the top at that age, but I really believe he can make some inroads.
Lesnar also dominated most of his first fight and had an extensive amateur wrestling background. Be real for a second. The man is not cut out for MMA. Not a bad thing, just reality.
But it's comments like those that are gonna keep fueling Punk in his MMA career. It's not unheard of, if he can get at least a 2-1 record and retire I'll consider it an alright UFC career
What about "WWE crap" like Brock Lesnar who became UFC champion? Backgrounds mean nothing, all that matters is whether or not they can compete in the octagon. CM Punk couldn't, but that doesn't mean other wrestlers could.
JJ MR.J there's exceptions, like Randy. C that lasted until quite an old age, but he started at a younger age than Punk. He should have started earlier if he wanted a more successful career.
I get not judging someone on their first fight but thats a pretty weird argument considering Brock basically destroyed Mir up till he got caught in a submission.
Cm punk come to wwe univears beacouse that your home you best in the wwe world heavewait champion your are the longer wwe champion 528th days reamber that your wwe fand so miss you come back cm punk and take your wwe haveawait champion !!!!!
thanks for uploading this shows that dreams come true no matter how young or old go follow your dreams look how cool cm punk is as a ufc fighter just like in wwe was and always will be cm punk is a inspiration btw he signed a 3 fight contract whith ufc also didn't brock lesnar lose his first fight 2
I don't pay attention to wwe wrestling, but that song is a badass walk out song. CM Punk did something that a lot of people would never consider. To go after a dream knowing that there was huge chance he was not going to achieve it. Most people just like to look and talk, but some look and want to achieve.
