Join Janome Canada Education Manager Michael Smith as he shows us all about setting up our Continental M17 for Free Motion Quilting, Ruler Work, and using the Accurate Stitch Regulator! The Accurate Stitch Regulator detects the speed of the quilt moving under the needle and adjusts the speed of stitching to maintain a designated stitch length.

I have the same ? As Donna Branton, new to Janome with a CM17 - is there an outline/index/compilation of all the videos or tutorials that educators have produced and where to go to watch them? Are FB or instagram accounts needed?

Do you use the blue dot when you’re using the embroidery unit to quilt

Donna the Blue dot bobbin holder is an 8 gram one, which is used for Free Motion Quilting as it's the lowest tension holder. The 20 Gram bobbin holder, which may have a yellow or white dot, is used for embroidery.
