Showing off Moonlight Embedded and CEMU, which works with minimal input latency over a 5Ghz network on the Raspberry Pi CM4.

Moonlight is a cool tool, I messed around with it a bit on the Vita. Be careful tho or the nintendo ninja lawyers will get you when you sleep.

I actually modded my PS-Vita recently to play with moonlight. Had to send a GitHub Issue tho as it seems to not support the latest NVIDIA Experience versions. Also the main contributor seems away from github for Moonlight Vita, so this may be the best option besides a steam deck. Personally for me I'm more into the two joysticks on the top of the controller then the switch one top one bottom style. (However that's probably because I come from the PS Vita and haven't had enough time on the switch)

It's a really cool project. I am wondering if you can use a better screen with it

Thank you. I am working on integrating a 5.5” 1080p panel at the moment, but it requires a few more components but overall cost shouldn’t change too much. Hopefully I’ll have it up and running in the next few months!

@@stonededge Thanks for the reply. I hope you can consider LS054B3SX01 screen. It's one of the best screens on the market today. TheRG552 has it. I would also suggest to change the back cover to smth that is similar to RGB 10 MAX - that way it's more comfortable to hold. But if the design is finalized, it's OK. I am also wondering when it's available and will it be sold as a kit or as a ready made device?

Hi How can we have the batterie pourcentage in the corner?
@stonededge
@stonededge 2 года назад
Depends on your hardware really. We used a fuel gauge from maxim integrated and read out the register values, then printed them to the framebuffer using dispmanx, but you could also just use a simple battery voltage reading via an ADC, although far less accurate than a proper fuel gauge

cool but streaming will never be viable, latency is EVERYTHING.

I didn’t notice any personally but I am not a professional gamer.

I am not streaming any games personally, but I think it will be the future. Most people do not care about the best performance/gaming experience possible. The most comfortable is the one that appeals to the mass market. Of course, there always will be people that will always prefer playing directly on the best possible hardware, but they already are a minority. The best possible experience is playing on a high-end PC with perfectly adjusting the settings, improving with mods and improving viewing angle, distance, dim lighting, using non latency gamepad/keyboard/mouse... Most people play on a console or an a PC far from being capable to deliver the beste experience. Most PC gamers don't even care/know on getting the best performance with the machine they have... It's the same with video streaming. People buy >60" 4K TVs to just watch Netflix in 1080p Streaming. There also the majority doesn't care that a compressed 1080p stream never will reach the same experience than a 1080p Blu-ray and even especially not than a 4K Blu-ray. Most people don't even care for the best possible viewing distance and dimming the room, when watching a movie.
