To purchase one of our sat navs, please visit: www.cmnav.co.uk
Because recently we have been asked numerous times "Why would I buy your sat navs, when I can get the same from eBay for £40), we have decided to make a little experiment and actually see what is the difference between our products and other similar looking devices for half-price.
Therefore, we have purchased a random cheap "Truck Sat Nav" for £39 from eBay and put it to test with our cheapest sat nav in store (CMNAV Starter £74.98), just to see if they're actually doing what they say and if it's actually a good deal and if it's actually a good deal for someone driving a Large Vehicle.
After all, they look the same, don't they?! What could possibly go wrong? :-)

Cool video. I got a question for you guys. I know I put you on the spot with this, but I'm really curious how your top model (with the traffic and all) holds Itself against the Tomtom Professional 6250. I currently own one but like you said, even that one isn't perfect. However I paid BIG euro's for It. Might as well pay 100+ euro's less If the differences are minimal. Aside from that, the build-in dash cam really is an attractive feature. Could you do that please? By the way, which maps do you use? Cheers from the Netherlands Edit: HERE and Igo I guess?

Hi Pieter! We haven't tested our products in parallel with a Tom Tom or Garmin, but most of our customers have, and they said when it comes about routing, maps etc there's no difference or even ours might behave better as they offer more info on screen. The only thing that Tom Tom has extra is the possibility to update the maps straight from device itself, using WiFi - hence the high price. But even though, we offer a clear step-by-step video tutorial along with the maps download link whenever you need updating your device, and it's quite an easy process! :) Of course, TomTom is a big company and they've been manufacturing these products for years and years, but like you said, they're not a kind of device that anyone could afford. As for the maps, we use Here and even TomTom maps if required. In some countries Here maps work better whereas in others TomTom maps work better. And yes, it's iGO. Definitely dash cam is a great feature, as given the amount of accidents, road rage, "crash for cash" scams, and reckless drivers in general that's going on nowadays, it's a good idea to have a dash cam for your own peace of mind. It's a decent quality dash cam, with a wide angle, slightly adjustable as well. You just start recording when you set off, and forget about it, as it will record in the background while you use the GPS device for navigation or something else. Not to mention the fact that it's 2 in 1 so you don't have to buy a dash cam separately, or if you use more than one vehicle, you won't have to fit a dash cam in every single one of them. If you wish to discuss more about our products, please contact us using one of the contact methods from our website: www.cmnav.co.uk . You will even find a Facebook messenger button on there and we can discuss easier, or you can use the contact form on website and send us an email. Kind Regards, Christian C & M Navigation Systems

Also will your sat nav after telling you that there is a weight restriction on your route. Will it still send you that way or divert around it..??

Weight restrictions come with the maps. They are set by map development team, which assign a certain weight limit for each road type. Therefore, based on your vehicle weight that you input, sat nav will analyse all the roads from point A to point B that you could take, and eliminate the ones with weight restrictions for your type your vehicle from the start, before you start driving. However, with certain occasions, like for example when you have to enter a restricted area for delivery, sat nav will warn you about that anyways and possibly won't let you go, because sat navs don't know that you should actually be allowed there for delivery. Also, 99% of the times these road restrictions are set correctly by the map developers, but since road layouts and limits change quite often, if there will be a change in between two map updates, there is a chance of the sat nav not to be picking up these, and therefore you might be sent down an unsuitable road. That's why I always say to all of my customers that road signs should always prime! No sat nav should replace road signs and driving with due care and attention. No matter how expensive the unit would be. Even tom tom fails sometimes... Kind Regards, Christian
