One of my motherboard suddenly can't save the date and save bios setting, even after i replace with the new battery.
There's many possibilities can be the culprit.
This is how i fix this motherboard.
This video is just for fun. just turn on the subtitle setting.

kalau baterai cepat banget habisnya, hanya dalam beberapa hari saja sudah habis 0,x volt, berarti dioda 3 kaki ini yg rusak lae?

thank you, will try this on my old Toshiba laptop, gets bad checksum (CMOS) and unable to press F1 to continue. Have replaced the battery already, twice.

Where should I put the negative probe. Where is the ground located on the motherboard?

I tried a new battery but it also drops one volt per day. After three or four days the battery goes down completely. Why is that?

Hi I have msi z87i motherboard . It doestnt start unless i reset bios.it only hapens when power plug is off for 20 minutes.but if the power plug is on and i shut down pc it turns on ok. I updated bios and changed battery but still same problem.i have to reset bios each time to start.plz help

Corrupt bios. Try to rewrite/update your bios. If normal method through usb didn't work, flash your bios chip with external flasher like ch341. And check your battery level voltage.

@@okisibarani hi i have flashed it it works perfectly fine once on. But same problem if system shutdown and i unplug power cord i will not start until i reset bios. I have checked that when pc is off bios vcc is missing voltages. My cmos battery is fine. Is it a bad resistor? Because its one end is getting power from battery but other dont give voltages.
