sorry about the poor yellow lighting this is the first time i tried making a video in this room but this is actually a really nice well built meter. I tested it using my icom ic-7300 testing across most hf ham bands in to an mfj dummy load. the meter was bought threw hro.

got my cn -801 about 10 year's ago from RF Martin and it said to check calibration so after comparing to the bird put in line it's been a great meter takes up little real estate and with the cross meter's on ave. i always know if my SWR goes bad

Nice video, thanks for sharing with us. I have placed an order for the Icom IC-3700 and it should be getting here sometime soon. I was told that I should have a swr meter, so I messaged a seller on Ebay and asked if the swr meter that they had listed, was it the right meter for the Icom IC-3700? They said yes. So I placed an order and I got it today. After watching your video, I'm now a bit confused as to what swr meter I should have. They sent me the CN-501H. You have the CN-901. Should I have the same one as you have? I'm new to all this, and am as green as a shamrock.... I'm use to the old school cb radios and the new digital radios are nothing like those older radios. If ya can help me with info. that would be great. I've subbed your channel and Thumbs UP for sure. Thanks Roger

Hello, I started on Cb’s also. The specifications on the 501 will work fine fit the frequency coverage and wattage out it’s just a little less fancy and smaller then the 901. The 7300 is a good radio with lots of features for the price the icons are very easy to use compared to yaesu ones, It will be fun learning how to use it the hand microphone works great, but I’m running the sm-50 just get a good quality power supply 73’s

@@Mattsneedforspeed Good morning, Thank you very much for the quick response to my question, your great! Now I feel a lot better about the swr meter knowing that it'll work with my 7300. My 7300 is now at the FedEx sorting hub in Los Angeles, it's scheduled for delivery on Monday. Can hardly wait for it to get here. I'm real excited. Thanks again and I might shoot ya a few questions while learning how to use the 7300, if that's OK?

i had the same issue with an mfj meter from the problem it caused me i figured it was a bad solder joint, this was my first experience with this brand and the reason I purchased this one so far its worked well for me.

I don't use fm or ritty where i'm located no local repeaters on 10 meter and I don't have a set up for 6 meter so I didn't even think to show them.
