Great info Smokey. Wish you were around when I started getting into cnc as a hobby. Not much was out there. It’s a great hobby and you are helping quite a bit of people get started and helping some of us who need reminders every once and awhile! Thank you for the video.

Hi smokey. So far I have bought freud bits 1/2 shank and not replaced one yet . I got an amana insert set for a birthday and found it delicate broken tips. My latest find is ten pieces of gator board 1/2 x 11 x42 at the plastic shop . Apparently it is $250 a sheet but my ten cost $20 total. This stuff is amazing and mills like a dream . I can see the advantage for larger signs with multiple layers and stacking or cutout applies . The learning curve continues . Recently my z lost position so I slowed it down and it worked , I tried turning the coupler up and down and up was heavy due to my overall z weight and the heavy router I use 1/2 inch three horse . All this obsession with travel, speed now seems a bit silly when Cutting speed is way slower especiall with deep vcarve

I have had good look with Freud, like I said I haven't tried Amana, just to costly.....I have never even considered Gator Board...that is a awesome idea, it should do little damage to your bits...sounds awesome...Keep it up!!

That's a large difference in prices of same size bits from different companies. Have you ever thought about packaging a group of these bits after you've used them and sell them on Ebay to someone whose willing to sharpen them to save money? Set a price starting bid price that would be more than s&h would cost you. Then everything would be profit. Just a thought, Do with it what you want. Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you and your family and your family.

I hadn't really thought about it, that may be worth a look...for sure if I used more expensive bits that would absolutely be a route to take to recover some money...I may have to look at that to see what the market is like for something like that...........Thanks for watching!!
