Wow thank you for this clear footage. Such brave people to report in that area. I know that feeling of being scared from artillery fire and airstrikes. I lost my 14 year old sister and 2 family members in a airstrike in 2017. Despite the need to report, make sure to be safe first. When I found her, she was almost decapicated due too the shattered glass in her face. Her lower body was blown off till her stomache. This also happens to Ukraine now and I still haven't recovered from it. After all: its one political chess game where justice and moral righteousness are simply a façade. I still remember how we only wanted a voice to speak for us even though that voice never showed up infront of my doorsteps so thank you for giving these people the change by getting so close to the danger zone.
@@darkonojic7494 Mosul but I was in Bazwaia at the time with my parents when a U.S. airstrike hit our home. I was not present shen she died but I only found her in that state.

I think this was recorded several days ago. Currently, the Russians have been dispersed (killed or captured) NE of Mikolaev and have retreated to Kherson SE of Mikolaev. Odessa is pretty safe at this point

When an explosion hits rocks and stones, those too because secondary shrapnel. In the military we were told if you are attacking a position you should aim for a stone surface nearest to your targets.
@@itayb8169 Do you think the cars were the likely targets? Also, do you think the journalists' and crew's bright blue jeans and solid black jackets risked giving the Ukranian position away? Or does personal camo matter that much at large distances. My thoughts: I would have hoped the journalists would have parked then in a depression out of the line of sight. Maybe they just didn't know in what direction the Russians were. It's hard to hide out of the line of sight when you don't know where the line of sight is.
They need a designated safety guy. Someone with military experience, that has been under fire before and tells them what to do. That guy would have known where to duck for cover, not to park the cars in sight of the Russians, and not to check out the vehicles with the whole group while under fire. The vehicles probably attracted the fire of the Russian artillery.

That's when you attach a tow strap and conduct vehicle self recovery of the other vehicle out of the engagement area. That other vehicle only looked like a mobility kill and not "totally" damaged. They weren't taking incoming fire so they could move deliberately. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. If that was a military vehicle it wouldn't have been just left behind.
Still impressed how the Ukrainian are cooperating... I mean, they could be looking out for their own lives. This is how you earn the trust of foreign reporters. Document every little filthy thing pootin does, this cannot go unpunished.

Just like the teenager here who was recently hit by a tornado on camera while driving his Chevy pickup truck. Tornado rolled the truck, but it wound up on its wheels and he was able to recover and keep driving - Local dealership gave him a brand new truck in the same color. :D

They still have some. They're flying missions in the mid single digits per day. But I agree. But obviously they can't cover everything. The airspace is still contested though.

That sucks - you want to stay down so that you don't get hit by shrapnel, but if there is a drone above, directing the artillery, then if you stay put - it is just a matter of time before they get you.
observing this situation.... makes me think that the reporters asked the soldier to bring them to A frontline to record some activities... point to the case is that they shouldn't be there in the first place but the views are good.
The ass end of the enemy’s artillery range in the middle of a field is not the place reporters are taken to see frontline activity. It looks like they got ambushed.
Artillery position isn't the front lines. Its normally far in the back. Modern mechanized artillery utilizes speed to "fire and run" as their position is given away to enemy artillery every time they fire.
The West inability to supply Ukraine with fighter jets and surface to surface\ surface to air missiles is what turning this unprovoked war into a protracted indiscriminate war of attrition. Had the West listened to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky along time ago about supplying fighter jets since they cant close Ukraine airspace - Russia would had retreated sooner.
Uh... The west has been steadily feeding missiles to Ukraine along with other gear both through official and unofficial means. The issue of sending fighter jets is moot. Ukraine still has most of theirs. What they need is facities to operate out of (storage, fueling maintenance, etc) and pilots don't just materialize if Ukraine did receive jets. Also, 5 weeks isn't "protracted". Ukraine had enough weapons to stall Russia in the first week and continued receiving enough to force Russia to retreat by the 4th week from several major ares. Protracted was Russia or the US in Afghanistan, 10 and 20 years respectively. Russia getting forced onto the back foot in a month is hardly "protracted".
@@Texas240 Plus, NATO can't risk openly mobilize an army to a country that isn't a member of NATO because it will cause Russian allies (such as CH) to mobilize their army and start WW3. Plus, the Dictator might spark a Nuclear war out of fear....
