I still can't fathom why the US cannot set aside 1 day off for the workers, 1 every 2 years, to make sure everyone is in the best condition to vote. 1 day off every 2 years is not going to sink the country's economy seriously.
Because republicans would lose every time given there current state, so they oppose fair election practices every chance they get. They vote against days off to vote, they voted against mail in and early voting to. Because they know that the more people vote, the more likely democrats win usually is the consensus among unbiased observers. If republicans were simply conservatives and not MAGA radicals they’d not have to worry about more voters. But alas, they’re base is dwindling more and more and they refuse to take a more moderate stance on anything.

Inflation is not unique to the USA. Out of the top ten countries, the US is at the lowest percent at around 8% while other countries have hit much higher percentages. Trump and his administration's poor handling of Covid is the primary cause of this inflation we're experiencing now, as is the oil companies who've raised their prices at the pump.

CNN News really ought to put more of an effort to provide "results" instead of endless chatter by pundits with their worthless speculations. First step: try identifying candidates as Republican or Democrat, (not everyone knows every candidate's affiliation). Next step: stop displaying results (often small percentages of the ballots reported), while journalists and pundits repeat senseless banter about issues. Talk about votes!

Someone claiming to be a county official came to my door yesterday and gave me an inaccurate polling address. Fortunately I was able to find the correct one and take my ballot there. My knees and ankles are arthritic and sore from the backtracking I had to do. I should've mailed it in, but I had to go show I wouldn't be intimidated from the ballot box. At least I got it in.
I’ve not understood why news analysts have been assuming the anger is a bad thing for democrats. I’m angry as could possibly be at what is happening in this country. I’m angry that women are being treated like chattel. I just voted a straight democrat ticket after voting a split ticket in 2020.

I don't think so, the people who voting Republican think that a miracle will happen, gas prices are already going down, can't wait to see the reaction when they find out food and other products will remain the same- the food suppliers and growers are not going to lower their prices- I'm a Baby Boomer, prices with exception of gas don't get lower, if they did, we would be paying a quarter for a McDonald's hamburger, $1 for a dozen of eggs and loaf of bread, we'll never see those prices again

Do Americans actually look at what is going on in the rest of the world at the moment the same thing in regards to inflation is happening everywhere, I am in Australia and the price of food, power and fuel has doubled so far and we don't blame the government for all these problems. Nearly all of these problems on pricing has got to do with China and the War in Russia.

The poll questions are simplistic, the answers are simplistic and so the CNN panel conclusions are....well simplistic. Yes gas prices and inflations us high. Why do people think that gas prices are high?.. ( how about posing these kinds of nuanced questions and allow people to give you their actual thoughts rather than guessing. Wouldn't that be a more productive way forwards and indeed more insightful.) What do poeple think Congress and the President should do about it the above? My view- The GoP's solution is to say......well what....nothing. The Dem's produce a bill that has recently passed -both house and senate- callef the Reduction Inflation Act to help do just that...over time. When Biden raised the prospect of raising a windfall tax on oil and gas to reduce our electricity bills....what did the GoP do, jump up and down....but offered no counter solution. I think a tax cut is coming as their first port of call though. Profiting from the death of Ukrainians is not cool and is unamerican and these companies should be volunteering to pay more taxes whilst still making a healthy profit. After all all we are not communists. 😒
