I am Australian and have never lived in the US but I love this man every bit as much as you guys. I've seen a lot of presidents come and go in my life but have never witnessed a man handle the role with such intelligence, grace and compassion. The current White House occupant is a disgrace and I will be celebrating with you all when he is gone.
A true treasure and icon to 'We the People of the United States of America'. He and First Lady, Michelle, have been exemplary models of what our nation needs. I believe Presidential nominee Joe Biden and his lady Jill, will restore our democracy. Current POTUS is, and has been, a failure.
whats even worse is that i know for a fact trump or hillary would never do this, even if they did they wouldnt have to same impact obama has. i hope even when obamas no longer president that he continues to travel the country and meet people because he really is inspirational
You know I just started watching things like this and I got to say this. I am really ashamed of myself because I listened to people that where idiots and never noticed what a good man he is. I am truly sorry for being an ass hole and judging this fine man and I didn't think for myself !!!
Me too I only thought Obama was bad because my parents said bad things about him and now that I actually looked at who he really was the day before he left I realized he was a fine man. He will be missed dearly
Yep Staunch as he stated many are over achievers based on their situations then to achieve the unimaginable and have a sitting President to be at your best day so far.
This made me cry! Growing up in the inner city is not easy. Its good that Pres. Obama ended up going to that school. Seeing him encouraged the young people. I am going to miss this President...
As a law enforcement man, the gentleman must be having a good idea about underprivileged pockets in large cities & how it takes a resolve of steel to be immune to the environment & pursue education. It is indeed a moving sight to see these young men & women & that casual flick of a tear drop from a 'hardened' man is a heartwarming moment.
They say this man did nothing the 8 years he was in the white house... they forgot about the love he took to the white house. Something that was never their and its going out the door with him smh.. the Obama's will truly be missed
Beautuful Sexyandunique love? Sorry, but love doesn't eradicate poverty, improve neighborhoods, education or healthcare. Obama was the worst president ever. It's just too bad black folks can't get past his skin tone long enough to see that he was never looking out for American interests, let alone black people's interests.
How he took time to talk to the young ladies that crying how he encouraged them to do more and he let them the young men end women this is a beautiful day to enjoy the moment taking the attention on themselves and not him I really love this president what a wonderful day for all of us to be able to call him our president the United States commander and Chief Mr.President Obama may God bless you and keep you and your family safe continue to cover your family in the Blood of Jesus Christ Amen 👼🏾🙏🏿❤️
He wasn't perfect and I didn't agree with a couple of things he did as president, but he was a decent human who tried to do the right thing. He seem to use his platform to galvanize and encourage. That's in stark contrast to what's in the white house now.
Emmanuel K-ci No there isn’t, in my opinion. However, when u have individuals coming off so angry looking for this or that out of him u would think he was a terrible president/person.
A charismatic, intelligent, and competent president, but most important of all: an honest-to-goodness decent man who really cared about his fellow human beings and making the world a better place. I'm Mexican, I've never lived in the USA, and I still miss Obama, the coolest president of modern times.
hands down best graduation present ever. made me cry big tears. omg secret service washed a tear. How does the presents of this man just make you break down and cry it never gets old I'm tired of crying dang it😂
Really awesome!! Imagine how much this means to an 18 yr old to see in person the 1st black present at your graduation. This can spark a flame of motivation that with hard work, you will be successful in life.
Why did I cry watching this, it's because agree or disagree with him no one can deny this man's decency, humanity and his gift for making sure these moments were special for these kids. He uplifts and inspires and let's them know that they inspire him, THAT's a leader.
Nah - probably wiping off sweat trickling down his eye or trying to clear his vision. Look at his face before & after. No change in terms of keeping a look-out.
when i saw those two girls cry, I couldn't help but cry along with them too. They must have been so overwhelmed and inspired at the same time that their emotions took over and I hope today they are an inspiration for the next generation in their community, wherever they are right now.
Years later and this video still gives me goosebumps. To have their efforts recognized and celebrated by not just their family and friends but President Obama too?? AMAZING! i hope they're all still doing great in their lives. Gotta admit I thought the students in the front row were the cool kids just remaining composed when POTUS first entered but to see them all pretty much break down when he shook their hands & congratulated made the moment all the more authentic and powerful.
heilumann yeah, I've been watching clips of him & Michelle interacting with youth & I keep crying. The 2017 election is coming up soon. I never paid too much attention to politics before Obama and who's to follow.
One of the many, many reasons why I love Barack (and Michelle). There's a possibility that some of the girls (and guys) here come from a single family, a possibility that their fathers are not in their lives, you can see based upon their emotion how much this moment met to them, that they'll remember this for the rest of their lives. Barack relates to the richest to the poorest, all colors, all nationalities. Sorry but there hasn't been a Democratic or Republican President that never even comes close in establishing this type of affinity. He is loved all over the world, except in his own country. I really hope that there will be another man like him for President and not the continued wealthy, Caucasian (I'm white), tan, mansion on the hill type of individuals that have been leading yours, mine and many other countries around this world of ours.
I agree. Im black and I feel that we need more people like this. Who are out there in terms of not being considered "regular" and know how to spread positive messages and vibes throughout the country. He does this type of stuff all the time and that's a great thing.
This is why they say you never know what you have until it’s gone. I’m from the UK, and I remember quite clearly through his presidency and before the end of his 2nd term people criticised him, his policies and even his family. But now after he has left office people seem to realise they had a good thing going all that time whilst he was in office? But that’s life I guess. Americans could not work with him, but now they will have to work without him? Again you never know what you have until it’s gone😁
"Couldn't Ask For A Better High School Graduation Commencement Speaker!" Congratulations Memphis High School Graduates, Students, Teachers, & Faculty!"
What a day it was I went to night school at BTW in 1972 It was so wonderful that the president came to Memphis my home town in 2011. Great day GO WARRIORS
I thought Obama was awesome when he was president, but now that Trump is president, Obama looks like some kind of genius superhero saint in comparison. I miss having a president that was a decent, highly respectable, intelligent, down to Earth human being rather than some ridiculously immature, villainous cartoon character.
