Wheat is an excellent sellable article under any conditions - in war or peace. Russian Russia itself almost doesn't produce anything interesting. All their interesting and profitable articles - gas, oil, diamonds, (precious) metals, wheat, caviar, etc. are almost exclusively coming from the other nations Russia invaded since Ivan the Terrible and made them Russians, though they definitely are not ones.
