I think there is a small mistake about the /ع/ in arabic, because that sound in english can refer to the (hamza) or /ء/ which is like the sound /e/ upside down in english, because the word (طين) had nothing to do with the /عين /ع Thank you so much for the explanation!

No, for example, in Russian velarized consonants are opposed to palatalized ones.

​@@alexandermarkov300As Russian native speaker I agree that soft(palatalized) is opposed to hard, but I don't velarize hard consonants, just don't palatalize them
