Thabeast721 has done a few ridiculously tough kaizo co-op stages with LilKirbs and Grandpoobear. No four player though. I could recommend some RedFalcon, Panga and Raysfire versus streams. They're hilarious
I think that level around 12:00 uses progressive power-ups to gate access so you need to go through the door as small Mario to get through; however in multi-player progressive power-ups always spawn at their highest level making it actually impossible to complete in multi-player.
Yes, the flower and mushroom with a diagonal track across them is the standard way a troll level says "Haha, you actually needed to lose your powerup."
Imagine playing SMM2 Multiplayer and you see the great "RyuSMM" appear as your teammate; You think to yourself "YES! This will be a easy!" 2 time outs later and you see "RyuSMM gave up" and you know.... you're screwed.

Level already proven to work by throwing each other across the gap? Well just keep trying to fight over the P-Switch so you can do a P jump to your death over and over. This multiplayer mode is agrivating.
It's cus he kept choosing Super Expert, and Expert sometimes also gives Kaizo and speed runs. Normal is the perfect difficulty for normal mode and sometimes Expert if it's not spiky
@Eli Donovan Not really tbh, this is clearly not the most interesting mode. I still watched because Ryu, but I'd much rather have something else, as most of the levels were a frustrating mess
@@shypeOW I can understand why you'd feel that. But if "the people" were to chose the difficulty Expert, they can get more beatable and fun levels, which would than be more fun to watch.

Versus: People wait at pole, bow-dance together, carry eachother through hard parts. Co-op: Everyone's trying to murder people by throwing them into spikes, tossing shells at them, fighting over the key, trying to get the pole before anyone else can touch it.
weirdly, ive found that the best co-op stuff happens if two of the players get significantly behind right at the start, and they can spot potential cheese that the other two missed. And its amazing how well you can communicate intentions without words. I know a couple times ive sacrificed myself to boost someone else really high, which let them win XD
12:05 I think what you had to do was get the fire flower to activate the bomb, then take damage twice so the progressive power up in the next room stays as a mushroom, to activate the bomb
The speedrun is technically beatable, because it is uploaded by 1 person. The guy just probably want to see someone suffering and so select the "appropriate" tag
I think it's because in multiplayer the graduated power ups don't work at all, so if a section requires you to be small Mario you're basically out of luck, because a fire flower or leaf will always spawn and never a mushroom
In one co-op match, I was trying to be the spawn point for my team after we got through a difficult section, but Luigi killed me and then died, so we were back at the beginning. We didn't get past that first part again before we timed out.
