The ”I’m Glad My Mom Died” book is actually fantastic, and I hate celebrity memoirs lol. It’s kind of comedic but really sad and reflective and She does intentionally mean to show herself as jealous of Ariana at that time in her life but She also never even wanted to be an actress, her mom made her. Ariana’s presence in the book is minimal but people just attach to it because it’s Ariana. The title is wild and was very controversial but it makes sense if you read the book. She actually never even says she hates her mom in the book, she has a lot of empathy for her mom but she also reflects on how her mom in actuality was an abusive and controlling presence. I really like the title lol, I think it works, it’s supposed to be something you react to because it feels so crazy to hear for most people, but then there’s so much more to it. It actually IS a #1 bestseller (and still sells like crazy) and is highly acclaimed, for long periods of time you couldn’t even get a hold of it because it sold out everywhere and I THINK it was the best selling non-fiction book all last year, beating books like Michelle Obama’s memoir. But the whole bestseller thing is kinda true lol. There’s basically ”number one bestseller” and just ”bestseller” and then there’s New York times bestseller list (U.S) vs sunday times bestseller list (UK). There’s also multiple different lists, there’s non fiction vs fiction and then they’re divided by formats etc, there’s also a Young adult category. But basically, a book can have spent a week at number 8 on the best seller list in the UK for nonfiction audiobooks and all of a sudden have ”bestseller” plastered on covers. Even funnier is when it says ”best selling author” which basically can mean that a book they wrote charted at 9th place for children’s hardcover books like 15 years ago and it’s not even the book you’re looking at.
I'm currently reading Jennette's book. Her mother was an emotionally manipulative person who pushed all her shit onto her daughter. The mother had cancer since Jennette was about two years old and actually taught her to use that as a source of garnering pity and getting her way. She wanted to be an actress, but it never happened for her so she pushed her daughter (who didn't want to do it) into it. Then of course the CHILD was responsible for paying all the bills. Her mother also basically introduced her to anorexia which then turned into bulimia. All that and more. That woman had issues. The book is worth reading.
Feel like this guy didn't do proper research/reporting when it came to Jeannette McCurdy, she doesn't hate Ariana like that and her reasoning for her jealousy is not pathetic at all considering her horrible upbringing and continuously horrible life until her Mom passed, anyone know some videos Dee could watch about the situation?
Her mother pushed her into the child star industry thing and, more or less, into having to deal with Dan Schnider whom is rumored heavily with receipts to be a child predator. Her mother was apparently horrible to her and never let her have the life of a normal child even when Janet specifically said she didn't want to continue the child stardom. The book is a #1 New York bestseller because it blew up when it released and stayed at the top of book blogs and more for a long time.
Honestly, i was with you on the book title I'm Glad My Mom Died, so i read it and ngl the first thing i thought afterwards was, I'm also glad her mom died. There was a lot of abuse going on in that household and I'm happy to hear she's healing and working through everything
Janet Hubert also mentioned in detail, things that Will and Alphonso did that she hated, but none of that was in this video. Janet Hubert also defended Will during the Chris Rock stuff, when a few of his co-stars from fresh prince said nothing or publicly chastised him.
They also left out how Janet fought for the cast to get a pay raise from the network, since the show was doing big numbers and the network was raking in most of the money. Initially, the cast was willing to fight with Janet, but then, they backed out, but Will said he'd stand by Janet, but also backed out last minute and then, like a snake, met with the network privately and got himself, and only himself, a pay raise. This compilation painted Janet out to be a miserable hater when she actually was right about Will being a self centered snake. Janet just wasn't gonna take anybody's bullshxt and Will had a complex going on, because the show was named after him.
@@xiamariansupreme72In a quote from a radio station interview that Will gave after Janet was fired, he mentioned that she was only making $75,000 a season on the show. That seems ridiculously low considering the show was a hit on a big 3 network in the 90’s. Even if she made $75,000 a episode that would seem low.
@@blakewilliams5627 Exactly. Also, considering Janet wasn't a newbie to TV by that time. Will was the newbie, yet he was getting majorly paid while other experienced actors on the show were getting paid like rookies & he made no effort to help anybody else up their wages, cause he's selfish.

2 former American Idol producers came on Andy Cohen's WWHL show a few years ago and said that Nicki was fun to work with while Mariah was a diva with an attitude. To me, I'm not shocked. What I heard years back was that production told Mariah she'd be the only female judge, but last minute, they got Nicki, which caught Mariah off guard, especially since Nicki's a rapper, not a singer, and this was 2012, only 3 years of Nicki being mainstream since her first 2009 Hot 100 entry, so Nicki was still an industry newbie, compared to Mariah having been mainstream since 1990, aka, 22 years by the time she was on American Idol, so allegedly, Mariah kinda looked down on Nicki for being a newbie and not a singer and Nicki, being Nicki, wasn't having any of Mariah's attitude, despite many people thinking Nicki should give Mariah grace, because she's an industry OG compared to Nicki, which, TBH, is so elitist to think someone is owed grace, in spite of their crappy attitude, just because they're more of a veteran. Nicki also didn't understand Mariah's attitude, considering they collaborated in 2010 on Up Out My Face.

ariana and jeanette don’t hate each other at all. jeanette hated how they were treated so differently- so if anything, she hated the director and direction of the show. not ariana herself
I don't see how it's Will's fault for her career ending for 30 years when she's the one who was difficult on set. She's mad because "a young punk" got to have a show? Girl, that's how the industry is. Get with it or leave. As far as Nicki vs Mariah, I think it was the battle of the powerhouses that they are. Classic legend vs current legend. They both have strong personalities, so it makes sense they had issues.
The producers said that "the one you thought was the problem - wasn't." Clearly Mariah was the problem. Rumors were said that she was upset she wasn't the sole female judge, as Jlo has been. Idk Nicki did as song w/ Mariah around that time and Nicki being new in the game just doesn't give that she was starting the drama and being shady/petty. The Jlo thing makes sense considering her and Mariah's history.
It didn’t have anything to do with Jlo 💀 Mariah only signed on because they told her they only wanted her and then signed Nicki last minute, who Mariah didn’t think was qualified to be a judge. The producers definitely set it up for the views. I think Nicki even said that they were releasing American idol advertisements with only Nicki in them knowing the others wouldn’t like that.
jennette was only jealous of ariana because her mom had her being a child star with an ED. And who wouldnt be jealous of Ariana and her success when THATS your reality
