I am a first born daughter as well and I understand what you mean that when you were growing up your Dad was different compared to how he was with your younger siblings- I felt the same way but don't take it personal- fathers just get older and wiser and try to become a better version of themselves! We can tell how much he loves you!!

I am the oldest of 5, and most times us older siblings take the lumps for our younger siblings. I used to hold resent for how my dad showed up for my younger brothers and sisters, but I know myself as a man has needed time to grow and heal from my own mistakes, so I allow my dad to share some of that grace as well.
Truly a man of wisdom; “you have to tell me I’m wrong the right way”. What I’m learning is that we all what to feel safe with our love ones even when we are wrong. Yes, my oldest points it out all the time! I told her our first kid was an experiment (i.e. didn't have all of the parts/ingredients) but with each kid, we learned how to make the experiment work.

Lady, Prime was saying, observe that person's character to learn how to offer a critique in a way that INDIVIDUAL PERSON will receive it. Because everybody don't receive criticism the same way. You must study them for behavioral patterns and what they respond negatively and/or favorable to. Once you master that skill, you can get anything you want from a person.

Coach taught me something today that I needed to hear because I definitely want people to feel convicted when I want them to then it turns into constant repeating myself and honestly I only feel worse for trying to make them feel how I feel in the moment
Yeah me too. The feeling worse is because you’re drinking your own position. It’s pride to want someone to suffer for doing you wrong. Think of yourself more highly than you should. I’m guilty of it. Holding grudges etc. the people usually don’t even care about you and how they hurt you etc.
Amen, I've been there done that last year. Wanted someone to hurt like I did, and then afterward felt really bad when I heard the hurt in his voice. Let it be on God's timing.
