Deion Sanders Tells Team He Is Leaving w/ Player Reactions (Full Speech - no commentary). Filmed by @welloffmedia (subscribe there for ongoing coverage of Coach Prime and the team).
Though I feel pain in Coach Prime leaving JSU, I still to realize the fact that he is leaving the football program in a much better place than when he arrived there. At the end of the day, that's a lot to be thankful for, along with a SWAC championship. Props indeed....
They wont win nearly enough to stay relevant because their old coach is taking all the talent like a douche, but at the end of the day, its football and life goes on well and above football. Doubt he will make any JSU transfer popular in Colorado because its an entirely diff world in that conference that a level of elite high schooler talent at JSU, but we shall see!
Football is one thing. I believe in the life skills Coach Prime is imparting because beyond the field, these young men will rise. Coach Prime is making our world a better place.
Prime bascically told them: its cool for me to leave but you guys should stay. If he can leave for better opportunity he should not guilt them into staying.
@@StonerKitchen man he dont care what they do...he handpicked his favorites and talent out of that school to go with him and leaving JSU with crumbs. The guy built the entire HBCU up and not just walking away to let it crumble. Just shows you better opportunity out there and the HBCU will never compete regardless of what some of your fools think. Let Deion be your example as to why these ghetto schools wont ever be more than that.
As much as I was kinda upset over Coach Prime leaving JSU, I also understand as well as respect his choice to accept the promotion.. Hope the staff continues to keep JSU where it is! Prayers for all involved in this.
He was like a father figure to some of them this is going to hurt no every coach is going to want to better you in life 😢sad day for Jackson but happy for coach prime
This reminds me of my HS basketball coach that I transferred to play for. He ended up leaving the next season to a bigger school and it hurt, it changed my basketball career. I hope all of these kids reach their full potential and achieve greatness. I'm more than happy for Prime to be in Colorado though, he deserves it.
I’m happy for CU Boulder but sad for JSU at the same time. And watching just this two minutes in made me feel like I was there with the students. Deion Sanders really knows his way with words. Good luck, Coach Prime!
I just watched this video, and his first meeting with the current roster at the U. of Colorado. I thought both meetings were very impressive! Based on what he said and the environment he has created, my son could play for Prime, anytime!
@@briansettles199 they worked hard and got the opportunity to play for prime. That is on their resume now for future endeavors. If a person or company doesn't choose you we have to stay motivated improve our worth, regardless.
Ultimately it is the kids decision about whether they want to stay at JSU these kids went their thinking the they would have better so they will need to pray and discuss with their parents what they will do
I do see that Prime Time is a big aspect to the HBCU but I do see his purpose to help others young men and just players from all over I had second thoughts as to him leaving but growth is a process. Much to everything
Deion knew he wasn't coming back to jack St ate after the classic game in Mobile Ala he said out of his own mouth he wasn't coming back to Ladd Stadium to play again that spoke volumes to me
Deion Sanders has become a very respectable man through his life. He was a little cocky and a little arrogant in his playing days. But it's very evident that God has control of this man.
Congrats to Coach Prime. However, how is it that he can hear so well concerning playing for 5 different football teams, coaching at JSU and now moving to CU, but then say that your 2 first marriages were mistakes? I can’t stand when people pick and choose when to use God to justify their decisions.
“I know God and I know when God speaks to me. I heard him when he said to come here, and I hear him when he tells me to go.” // Translation: It’s time to get this bag, and bounce kids…I will always love my HBCU’s as I move to a Power 5 school… 😂 Love ya coach Prime!
I disagree. Prime is a Real man of God also true professional prayer who isnt hurting for money. Yrs ago he said if another school comes along I will entertain the throught of move up......Yes this sad but that business.
Its the "Transfer Portal"! Look at like Free Agency for college football. Anyone can go play anywhere, sprinkled with who is going to pay me the most for my services with NIL $
I think something's happened behind the scenes, he was messing with that college good ol boy money. We seen how Saban attacked him for getting the number 1 high school football player and Saban called him a cheater for it they were coming after him for what he was doing for HBCU'S and I honestly believe that his life depended on it
He’s bringing 10+ players with him. Shut up and be happy for him. Hopefully somebody takes his place and follows his blueprint. I hate complainers like you.
The question is. Are u gonna recruit black players with the same intensity he had at jsu. Or will he fall for the okie doke? No ones criticizing his decision. Just have questions about his intentions.
Coach Prime Congratulations, Welcome to the great 👍 state of "Colorful " Colorado, from our highest peaks of above 14 thousands feet to the eastern Midwestern prairies utilized by our pioneers families for agricultural, you find peaceful citizens filled with humorous nature's, desires for hard work and love of athletic programs at all levels, talent throughout the entire state I feel could use coaches seminars training to better prepare futures athletes to influence them to play NCAA within the state, Our population is very diverse from every state in the nation to many foreign countries are also represented with many categories of ethics cuisine, European, African, Middle Eastern, Asian and Indian, these are attributes we thrives on and appreciate the states appeal to many origins in its population. I want to commend on your oratory, eloquent communication utilized during the news conference which momentarily perceived interrogative, but you displayed proficient facilatory, command, influence there by displaying authoritative superior responses extending your control and dominance. We know conservatives ideology supremacy theories, rules have influenced and ran deep in the functions of day to day protocol and we must prepare, responses, win within, gaining positive press, media, even smaller talks at the water cooler downtown Denver Hope to address you publicly and dress warm my brother, we have 4 seasons of weather numerous days and enjoy the ski slopes with your friends and family safely, no injuries please 🙏, Love Blessings, and Peace,Faith, never will be defeated, BELIEVE, WIN
Deion says as a coach either 2 things happen...2 things: "You either get ELEVATED or you get TERMINATED"....... That's 2 things.... but then goes on to say "OR you walk walk off on your own"... So is it 2 things or 3 things? I'm asking for everyone that's confused with how Prime up at a PWI #snakeoilsalesman
@@joyl3321 Walking off on his own means he left without any influence, other than being dissatisfied, and no foreseeable new opportunities. Dijon walked off to Colorado.
@bakhembrutalknowledge He "walked off" to Colorado & I say So What - his choice. He left the players with knowledge (& life skills) that will sustain them on & off the field (hopefully). We need to stop relying on any 1 human being (whether it be your pastor, Obama, or Prime) to be our savior since (God forbid) they could be, for ex., hit by a car & then what.
@@joyl3321 Nobody said anything about relying upon a savior It's about holding people accountable Dijon told a colossal lie and had the nerve to put God on it ru-vid.comUgkx8-vc2jaRVIl4vXcih9Zkvrt6R90FMb6b?si=j3F_J5cEhy58djWu
I know money is the Mai reason for leaving something good behind but what the f is he thinking going to Colorado I don’t care how good he is there is no fixing that team Vanderbilt woulda been a better option the them
Very disappointed. At Coach Primes age how many more accolades do you need. Those young Men at Jackson st need him more than proving black men can Coach division one or professional. The day we all as black men Stop trying to prove to the white man we're as good or better than them. We will be at Peace and God Allah will increase our power 1000 fold .
Most people wouldn't turn down 5 million over 300k. Nothing is permanent, and the flame someone drew out of you wasn't worth much if it burns out immediately after they're gone. Those men can now pay it forward if they choose, but it's not the coach's fault if they don't.
He screwed so many young athletes by convincing them to come to a small school like that and passing in offers from the big boys. He will make his millions while them boys slowly return to the old JSU.
JSU need to step there game up he showed what happens when you genuinely care about the players to the point that he gave up half what he earned to help these kids if jsu fails it’s not because of prime he made it better and showed you how survive and succeed
@@Timhague72 Exactly. Your teachers won't be around to hold you up forever regardless of how you feel about them. It's on the people they've touched to continue the trend.
@GhostsAmongUs DID U FOR GET ABOUT THE BAG IN BASEBALL DUMMY?AND THE BAGS FROM ALL THE ENDORSEMENTS??DO YOUR RESEARCH AND STOP HATING U GOOFY!THIS IS IS CALLING!
How is gonna tell them not to enter the transfer portal when he’s leaving He must not want too piss off them white folks at Colorado if some of them black players follow him so he’s telling them he don’t want y’all there
Man, where were you all at when Eddie Robinson was holding down HBCU football for decades ? What’s the average tenure for a coach in that division anyways? Deion is going to be in for a rude awakening in the PAC10 but that was his decision to go there…if he really built a program at Jackson state, it will survive AFTER him….he didn’t build shit there aside from a social media hub
I like what he mostly says but I have to disagree when skin color gets brought up in the conversation. Deion you got the coaching job because your a good coach not because of your skin color when successful people of color start talking about race and skin color as a obstacle in sports dominated by people of color WTF America has changed stop living in the past stop making excuses for your successes and failures stop whining just coach and Win like you do !
Honestly, I wouldn’t have a problem whatsoever, but when you rail against power five schools, hold yourself up as the savior of SWAC athletics etc. then proceed to do WHAT EVERY OTHER COACH does which is grab a bag and bounce, Im sorry, it just seems a little “talking out of both sides of your mouth.” I’m certainly happy for coach. Don’t get it twisted, but he could have been just as effective with running his mouth quite as much… Buts that Primetime!
After the Minnesota Vikings lost to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC championship game, Crisis Carter cried hard. He knew he would never be back. His whole career, he saw that men only get one chance to go to the SB. All the younger teammates kept saying that they'll be back. The young just don't realize what GROWN MEN have experienced until they go through it. OPPORTUNITIES ONLY COME AROUND RARELY. The young do not realize that everything CONSTANTLY CHANGES EVERYDAY. His talk about rectifying the problem that there are too few Blacks in HC & Ownership in the NFL is wishful. It will not happen until Black families are made whole by putting Black fathers back in the home. It has to do with HOW A PERSON IS RAISED and NOT CULTURE/DISCRIMINATION.
@@darrylharris4030 well…. Darryl…. It’s pretty simple really. Coach is a public figure being paid with taxpayer funds. That means he is a servant of the people and should properly represent the values of his constituents. I realize that this day in age there is a very low moral bar to aspire too, however for some of us, integrity as a man still means something. If you can’t trust a man based on what he does when nobody is watching, that same man is not to he fully trusted by what he says and does in the public eye.
Because many ppl are equating him of leaving hbcu, and young blk men who are disenfranchised behind. He’s basically saying, I will be pouring into those same type of young men, because statistically speaking it’s a problem. He’s not saying he’s not pouring into all races.
Shameless self promotion on the backs of the less fortunate. he has leveraged virtue signaling at the highest level let me use you and let me leave you when something better comes along, it is interesting that he referenced failed marriages in this speech because there is an aspect of infidelity of how he is leaving Jackson state
I get what you are saying. But, Coach has a point. He would be out if he was not winning. There is no loyalty to coaches but there is an expectation that coaches be loyal to the school where they are. Also, he left JSU with a lot that he is not taking with him. Coach Prime was very tactful in not speaking badly of the city, but JSU had bad water, Coach ended up in the hospital sick, apparently there had been several breakins. Do you think there were other problems he was facing that led to him leaving?
@@DrFeliciaClark his reason for leaving is better employment, he has been praised for coaching at a “less than premier program” as though he was doing it out of charitable purposes and folks celebrated him for that. Deion’s star rose even higher not for sports but for the human aspect. But when $5000000 per year was offered his human charity was tested to its limits, if you give every excuse for his leaving is the same excuse that every else has. Why is Deion celebrated for having the same motives as every other coach
Who is the sad dark fella aking the funny faces with the cool jsu sports coat? They look like clowns and he says he talks to God, and they actually believe him. It's a sad world today.
He took advantage of an HBCU to get to a PWU. He's a narcissist, and that has become normalized and accepted by most people. God has nothing to do with this nonsense.
How? He donated his salary and cut the grass, all while the HBCU stole money from his program….. and he’s taking players with him. So tell me how he took advantage, when they took advantage of him. They wouldn’t have half the resources they now how without him.
When the player started talking i realized i could not listen to it more than 2 mins. I Couldnt coach, couldnt teach, couldnt have a conversation. After a 3-4 “words” id just do an about face and walk away. Wouldn’t entertain it.
