My thoughts are with you as you care for your mother. I am an RN, mostly in PACU ir ICU but for 3 years during Covid I worked for Hospice. They do offer some relief, meds, equipment and offer respite care. Additionally, if things become too unmanageable in the home they have a Hospice house. I admire families who care for their loved ones in the home bc it is grueling work and not everyone has a strong family support system. Take care of yourself. Caregiver burnout is real as you know. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you so much!!! It’s very difficult but we do have a good family and between my sister and I my moms sister helps a lot too. I am considering someone to come stay with her during the day a few days a week so we can get a break. It’s hard but I wouldn’t have it any other way unless it were just me then I know I couldn’t do it. Thanks so much!!!

Hi Yota, I had a wonderful best friend who was like a second mom to me and she past away 31 years ago this December. We prayed for her and she still was not getting better and she told my twin sister that she thought she would be healed. My sister looked at her and said, Phyllis, we have prayed and you are going to be healed, it just may be in heaven and not on this earth. My dear friend said, you know that is right. Sometimes prayers are not always answered the way we think they should be. We just have to trust and believe.

I pray that everything will go as well as possible for your mum. I lost my mum last month aged 86. She is with the Lord now and has a new body. She will be with the baby she lost who she called Frances as she didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl. I am thinking of you at this time xx
