I want Luke to react to the BARBIE movie when it comes out. It would be really funny to see him assess the costumes in relation to actual Barbie doll clothing😂. Maybe Luke could do a collab with someone who knows the history of Barbie/Barbie fashion?
😍I LOVE Bjork's outfits! They remind me of dandelions! I do like how it looks super cool like she's sprouting plants and mold. It does remind me of decay but in a beautiful way. Like taking a walk through a forest and seeing a fallen tree trunk with moss all over it. I'm just really into it!
The celebs that dressed boring - like I don't really mind, sometimes they just wanna go to the festival to have fun and watch the performances. I think we've collectively forgotten that Coachella is music festival and not a fashion show for influencers/celebrities. Which is what it's dissolved into
We can always count on Luke for very real, unbiased and actually constructive criticism 😂I love how you break down each person's look as pertaining to weather, trends, and history very thorough ALWAYS TO THE POINT and the shade is never lacking hun
i’m not on tik tok so maybe it’s just that fact that makes me feel like coachella is not it this year? like there was barely any buzz and excitement and it.
I am a chronic tiktok user and I have never understood who decided that most of those tiktok people should be famous. I remember when that Charlie damelio girl was getting popular...it didn't make sense to me because all she did was "dance" but it wasn't actual dancing... It was a lot of weird hand movements and wiggling. These days I don't know who most of these people are nor do I know what they contribute to society.
Bjork’s first look is giving me two different type of cacti stacked on each other 🌵specifically the top is a barrel cactus and the bottom is pear cactus
Will you pleaseeee react to Taylor’s eras tour outfits?! She has SO many looks and they all reflect her different eras - which will maybe give you some insight into how to she dresses publicly as “Taylor swift” (not her street style)
For your info, the first outfit it's not macrame. It's fishnet stitch. I'll say crocheted but it can be knitted as well. And clearly I hope it is knitted cause crochet can only be made by hand and we know the conditions of labour of people doing those crocheted pieces for mainstream fashion
@31:05 given that it looks like there’s Native-looking beadwork on the elbows, I’m going to guess that those white bits are long beads, possibly meant to imitate porcupine quill, a traditional material.
Also just letting you know, BP's outfit always have a certain theme that shows unique style set of each member from debut, if you study all their outfit till now you will understand what was the specific style given to them as a group by yg and that is how most of their outfits are designed.

This is fair, but it doesn’t make any of the looks good.
I think festival/ concert wear def promoted fast fashion a lot because of that “I have to wear a cooooool on theme, never-seen-on-me-before outfit” I reassure every time young people go see a concert. Absolutely antithetical to the idea of fun.
Jennie in her group performance has pink and BLUE glitters. You don’t understand. These girls can’t wear anything nicer since their individual toxic fandoms would start killing each other😩
BLACKPINK was a huge letdown because their outfits for their music videos, albums and promotions in korea (music bank, m countdown, inkigayo, etc) are always really great...
Björk is simply in a league of her own. Her music deserves a comeback too. Her first 4 albums are masterpieces, the later albums too, just not as commercially accessible
Bjork has been a goddess for decades and nothing changes that. I love that you said her last look reminded you of fungus because she seems to be really in to fungi/mushrooms w/ her latest album. 😍
To me the second look reminds me of one carnivorous plant that has sweet tendrills (exactly like the dress, white with red/purple ballish/droplet shape at the ends) and im not a exactly in the know when it comes to Björk but it also goes with her vibe, I think that's what the dress is inspired by
As someone who loves actual vintage hippie fashion and can appreciate a modern interpretation of it on one hand, and absolutely hates rave/festival fashion on the other hand, Coachella fashion is just... a no for me. It tries to be both of these things and miserably fails.
I am not a Kardashian fan, but I actually love that Kendall showed up in black jeans (sans waistband) and tank top with back cut out...instead of fake “look-at-me-pretending-to-be-a-hippie” outfit.
Maybe this is an odd request but I would love if Luke reacted to wrestlers entrance outfits, like Seth Rollins at every major ppv. It would be so cool and interesting to hear his thoughts about it.
This Coachella really had Luke analyzing and breaking-down a high cut, multi-pocketed jeans and a laced Shein corset look/get-up. And did it soooo eloquently,I literally thought it was another elaborate outfit, when I wasn’t facing the tv-screen😂😂
Thanks for turning me on to Noir Kei Ninomiya. I didn't pay any attention to Coachella this year but your show notes listed Björk so I simply had to see what she wore and that led to me reading the British Vogue article on her appearance, which not only discussed Ninomiya (fabu link to an article about him) but it discussed Björk's musical intentions. Did you know one of the costumes was sound sensitive? I love clothes that participate😊
right? I'm from europe, but even if i had the money for it, i wouldn't be attending because of all the ridiculous Influencers, who are hungry for fame and think they're relevant. plus the coachella owner is still donating money to anti-LGBTQ organisations. it's a mess
*This year Coachella totally flopped. I feel this is the start of its demise. It definitely peaked like 2018 when you still had A-list celebrities going to bring it some legitimacy; yet at the same time enough influencers going to push out content hyping it up. I looked up pictures from this year to see outfits and literally recognized no one lol.*
@@el972 possibly...lol, but I also didn't know Coachella was happening. Usually it's all over social media.. The hype has slowed waaay down online. Maybe in California its different.
@@el972 I was thinking this. I definitely think Coachella is falling off, but even though I haven't finished the video yet, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Blackpink are quite popular in the charts... Sure they're young, but it feels mean to undermine their success because they're not recognized by someone. It's probably just a case of different interests, therefore people celebrities in the radar. And maybe the pandemic changing people's willingness to attend huge festivals.
Why is Charlie D'Amelio, someone who clearly can afford better brands and designers, buying from a fast fashion company that is known for stealing designs and looks from smaller creators?
I really liked Rosalia's outfit. It was windy during her set and it made her sleeves a little bit more flowy. They got in her way a couple of times and I know that probably annoyed her but I think it also made the look more dynamic.
Bjork's outfits look like dandilions that have gone to seed. The second one with the hexigon-ish spaces look like the close up of bee eyes or honeycomb.
7:00 it’s amazing that you compared it to mycelium - because her lastest 2022 album ‘Fossora’ is inspired by mushroom and fungus growth- and actually has a song called ‘Mycelia’ and other songs mention mycelium!
Björk just released a song called mycelium on her album last year, love that you caught the mycelium look of her outfit, she really spares no details🫶🏼
I personally am not a fan of Emma chamberlain's usual fashion, bUT I think her stylist Jared did a really great job compiling cool vintage pieces for her to choose from for these outfits. I love vintage vivienne and diesel, and I thought both the bag and vest paired with the white hot pant was definitely something I'd wear to Coachella! May not be something super crazy memorable, but I thought it was more unique than the diesel incorporated looks by tana and James ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I feel that Blackpink Coachella performance needs a section of its own. I really loved Rose’s Paco Rabanne and the traditional hanboks they wore kn the beginning! But not only their performance fits but also the ones they wore when seeing other artists.
