All junior coaches could learn from the coach's clarity of instruction, energy and positive feedback. And that lad's got an amazing technique for his age.
Seriously, what's wrong with you people? He's teaching a drill "for" 13/14yr olds……. If he was to use an inexperienced 13/14yr old it wouldn't be executed perfectly so there's no point...…...Great drill, love it.....i'll be doing this with my 11yr old.
Wow! An empty net and the sound of the leather hitting the willo, paradise ❤️ im a naturally talented batsman always score the most against teams in street cricket. Wish i had a coach too.
Its good but this kind of practice is completely taking spin out of equation. The balance of the footwork largely depends on the length but spin demands subtle adjustments which is lacking here.
The idea is 'how to teach the basic concept' and I see it as having mobilized footwork for spin play. Done excellently. Listen to the words the coach uses. And also how he invites the answer from the trainee instead of throwing it out himself. It internalizes learning for the long term. Don't go by the high skill and shape of this player. You can apply it to players not as gifted.
Terrific demonstration, Gavan Twining. Coaches should watch and also pick up on how you're causing the batter to reinforce the skills and adaptations by asking a question. He answers and the knowledge solidifies
He shouldn’t be playing so much out of the crease. In my coaching we do something call “long legs” we move the front leg to the pitch but ground the back in the crease. This will prevent stumpings
