@irisbm1
@irisbm1 Год назад
@@infosrelevantes7146 Well from experience 25NL on Gg is pretty soft like 10, so I’m assuming 50 can’t be that much of a step up.. but if you’re referring to 10NL compared to 50NL across all sites it’s probably less but can still be a decent win rate, it all depends on the exact Fish to Reg ratio in ur sessions.

I'm a station! I think villain will fold literally nothing to a small donk on 644, then when checked to he will bet the ace with his entire range, leaving him with his entire range. I think any hand containing a club could make this bluff, especially the king of clubs. I'm paying this guy.

I don't really understand donking 1/4 pot on a board which you would expect villain to c-bet at a high frequency, especially when you don't have a value hand to do it with? If you want to bluff, surely a x/r is stronger? If you're going for value, AQo is not the hand to do it with. Admittedly I have never thought too much about donking/building a donking range, but surely the hands to do it with from the BB on that board are hands like 54s, A4 and 66, with bluffs maybe being 57s and 78s?
@adean4146

probably had pocket eights, got to the river pretty darn cheap.
@irisbm1
@irisbm1 Год назад
@@charleslenton3452 check raises commit a lot more money than donking third pot, the goal is probably to get cheap protection against all his air that checks back or block his air from putting too much pressure on his exact hand.

Question for andreas...I tried looking you up elsewhere but couldnt find your contact info. Im a live pro in america and have heard nothing but high rake in uk live scene. Are there any decent low rake games in uk at or above 2,-5 worth going for?
@andreaswagner1338
@andreaswagner1338 Год назад
Hi, yes games in London are probably less soft than in US, but take is 5%, capped at £10 so it’s not awful. 2/5 runs every day, often there is a 5/10 as well, rarely bigger. I’d definitely prefer playing 2/5 in US but London is not terrible.

Really nice video, thank you carrot! Question on the AQo hand: when we arrive on River, how relevant is our Ace being one that blocks A4s combos? I heard you mention our Q not being a club but our line seems to lack flushes that aren't trips backing into it. Do you not believe trips is in the villian's value range? Thanks
@Badbentham
@Badbentham Год назад
I found the AQ hand quite interesting, as well: First glance, our Range looked pretty mid-heavy, and capped, after donk Flop, C/C Turn. While, simultaneously, both the Ac and the 8c on Turn and River are great bluff cards for Villain, who might consider unloading with his entire Floating Range from the Flop into us. So, I assumed that AQ was quite close to the top end of our bluff-catching distribution. ( ahead of pocket pairs, 6x, weaker Ax) However: It is at least not implausible that we actually check-call with a majority of our Straight(75s) / Flush draws, plus of course 88, on the Turn; given how often the Ac hits Villain's range. While I still would strongly tend towards a Call against an aggressive and capable opponent, there is also at least that. And, do we, as you also imply, really Flop-donk with hands like KJcc? : " In theory, to justify our Hero fold, we can have a sufficient amount of better hands than AQ to call with; to avoid exploitable over-folding. " I guess !? - That A4s is blocked in its entirety is probably not that major asset for our hand: It is one combo, and Villain may or may not slow-play those trips after our Flop-donk .

First hand, I just love that there is no A4s left, the Ad is actually an important blocker? The flush completing with the 8 is also relevant. I don't think he'll float flop with something like K5cc?

The K9s hand is ok to cbet flop--besides the obvious fold equity this hand gains a bunch from betting by folding out a lot of better Kx and 9x. On the turn you can just ship it in, it's an easy and good way of playing the spot.

I would say yes - but obviously, I’m biased. There are chapters about rake considerations, variance, the interview with Pete, and a piece on mental health in poker and an interview with a poker hypnotherapist. All those are universally interesting. The boys about the actual London card rooms are less relevant for you.
