Here we see the NEW 8 foot wide offering from Coachman. In this video we look at two of the layouts. The Coachman Laser Xcel 850 which has a centre washroom with end transverse island bed , and the 875 which again has a transverse island bed with a rear washroom.
We managed to get a good look at the new wider range at the NEC Motorhome and Caravan show 2019.

Oh meant to say it’s the 875 for me ...deffo my favourite layout . We are on our 4 th van at the moment ...and all the different layouts we have had is telling us what our next one will be ......this is the best layout meeting our needs . Well done for this ...8 ft too 😊And you can’t get better than a coachman either .,,well done fir this one ...all we have to do now is win the lottery 🥰

Really great overview of those vans I think those center washrooms make the whole van Seem clostrpobic much prefer the second layout but both nice vans

Two very nice caravans and another great vlog. Personally I prefer the layout with the rear bed (875) as I don't like the centre bed being so close to the kitchen area. Also I think the centre bathroom is the better layout if you intend having family or friends staying with you. Horses for courses though.

@@Andeecee Hi Andy yes I see what you mean about the separation but generally we are on our own most of the time suppose that's why we get these different layouts everyone to there own. The most important thing is we all have a love of leisure vehicles

Thanks Kevin, I believe they are 5ft long which is pretty standard throughout the Coachman range of fixed bed caravans. I hope that helps 😊

I don’t know Jamie, it would depend on clearance so that would be a question for a dealer, it has been some time since I filmed this so cannot give you an answer from memory. 😊 Karina

Two lovely vans, Coachman are certainly masters of their craft. I would find the lack of a Stable door a little irritating, helps me control my Jack Russel who thinks he’s king of the castle. I wonder if bathroom door on 850 could open inwards, potential for an accident if you bash the Chef with the door. Another comprehensive and informative video. 😃

Lovely vans but what a price tag! Hard to justify the 875 over a Bailey Pegasus Grande Bologna and £10k change. Pretty much identical layouts, but the Bailey has a more useable lounge. Yes the fridge is a little smaller, and it doesn’t have the self levelling corner steadies or central heating, and the finish and trim isn’t quite as classy (still very elegant though) but again for these comforts the 875 is loads more money. If my numbers came in on the lottery there’d be no doubt I’d love that 875, it’s sublime... but I just think bang for buck the 8ft Pegasus takes some beating for this layout. Great review though.

Good question Ken, we didn’t notice them whilst reviewing the van but it does say on the specifications that there are speakers in the lounge and bedroom. Thanks for watching

We've got a 675 VIP which is the same layout as the new 875. There are speakers above the bed, one on either side so I assume that's where they'll be on the new van as well.

"Extremely well made and well built caravans" do you have evidence to support this or is that your opinion? Why the 2 year fluid in such expensive vans?

Thanks for watching Gill, I base this on how it compares to the many caravans I get to look at and review. I look at the strength of draws and cupboards and the hinges and clasps. I’ve never had a Coachman but in the PracticalCaravan satisfaction survey they rank highly by owners year after year. It is my opinion but the owners survey does support that. I don’t know why the 2 year fluid was in the Alde tank as my understanding that only 5 year is being used now. It may be that this was an early demo model. The literature for Coachman states the 5 year fluid is standard as far as I recall. Thanks for your comment, Karina 😊
